Tonight's the night! We kick off the holiday season with our annual decoration workshop. Come on down to Rohman Park at 5:30 with the kids and join in on some good ole Christmas decorating fun! Hope to see you ... down at the Park!
With Mother Nature giving us warmer temperatures and partly sunny skies, over 400 people came out to enjoy their day at Pumpkins in the Park! Photos will be posted soon, and you are welcome to share your own photos with us. A quick THANK YOU to all of our volunteers who helped to make the day a success, providing the tractor that pulled our hay wagon, driving the hay wagon, doing face painting, crafts and pumpkin decorating, bakers that made all of the wonderful baked goods,... and those that sold the baked goods and raffle tickets and handed out the goodie bags and door prize tickets. THANK YOU to the Shohola Township Volunteer Fire and Rescue for coming and hosting an Obstacle Course. What a treat! Many local businesses donated items for our raffles and one volunteer also donated 60 CD's with 101 mp3's of OLD TIME RADIO HALLOWEEN COLLECTION. And of course THANK YOU to our long time sponsor of the pumpkin patch, ADVANTAGE OIL!
Saturday Night, Movie Night in Rohman Park. Thank you all for coming out and spending the evening with us. Hope to see you all again, down at the Park.
As the year is rapidly coming to an end, the Shohola Park & Recreation Committee would like to wish everyone a very happy and safe holiday season and a Happy New Year. We look forward to seeing everyone in 2017 down at the Park.
It's time to decorate the Park Christmas Tree. Come join on this Friday night for the decoration workshop to make animal friendly ornaments for the park tree. While you are there, write your letters to Santa, string popcorn garland and have some hot cocoa and cookies. Its a fun family event for children of all ages. We hope to see you down at the Park!
The Park & Recreation Committee would like to thank all who came out during our Pumpkins in the Park event on Saturday, October 15th. It was well attended with over 200 children and over 170 adults. If you have photos from the event we would love for you to share them, so we can place them in our 2017 Park Flyer. Again, thank you for joining us during this annual event and we hope to see you all down at the Park on December 2nd for our Decoration Workshop and Tree Lighting.
