Humbled to spend some time this morning watching kids get their gifts from the WVCPD Giving Tree. These kids are pretty special to me. I was once one of them. All of the families are low income verified through the Head Start program... I was in that same program. Don't count these little guys out. Their families may struggle financially, but these kids have such amazing potential.
This sweet girl just melts your heart.
A CHILD'S WISH: This is a very special Christmas for Addie Lynn Fausett. An undiagnosed illness is rapidly wearing down her little body and doctors say this Chr...istmas will be her last.
We had the opportunity to meet Addie Lynn tonight. The Diamond Summit neighborhood in WVC hosted a special fundraiser with Addie Lynn as the guest of honor. That's her sharing a few laughs with Det. Chow of our Community Response Unit.
Thank you to the Diamond Summit residents for coming together to make a little girl's last Christmas a holiday filled with lights and fun. And thank you, little Addie for the joy you bring. You're a reminder to us all what this wonderful season is all about.
So excited to hear this news from our sweet friend, Mary!
There are some people in life that you just really admire. My uncle and aunt are those kind of people. Last year, they adopted a little boy from an orphanage in Taiwan, now they're working hard to bring home a little girl. This car show will help them get closer to their goal: one less orphan in the world. If you have a cool car, register for the show and if you like cars, come check out the show this weekend. Admission is FREE!
