The Outdoor Afro Rapid Response #Swimmership application is now LIVE for an inaugural round! I'm so thankful for my team and all the donors and partners who helped bring our organization's promise to life of helping every Black child and their caregivers in our sphere of influence learn to swim -- because Black children are drowning y'all, and we are here to do something about it! Apply or share to receive funds to get the lessons folks need to #WadeInTheWater

Research has consistently shown Black youth ages 5 to 19 drown in swimming pools at a rate more than five times that of white children. This public health disparity is our legacy of decades of segregation and exclusion from public pools and beaches.

Outdoor Afro Making Waves!

In partnership with our title spon...sor, The North Face, and support from KEEN, CLIF Bar, and so many of you, Outdoor Afro is giving people the opportunity to learn how to swim! ALL AGES! Find a program in your community, apply, and if selected, we will pay for it.

This is a life-saving skill that we all should have and we want to support as many people we can in this journey.
