Great job by SPM team members from the Brandon, FL office, as well as our senior communities, San Lorenzo Terrace, St. Giles Manor I and Plant City Towers. These volunteers represented SPM during the 2017 National Sunshine Summit to End Hunger! Some of the residents at the communities mentioned above will be recipients of the meals packed today.

The 2017 National Sunshine Summit to End Hunger is a two-day event co-hosted by the Tampa Bay Network to End Hunger and the Allianc...e to End Hunger. The summit provided organizers and the broader anti-hunger community a forum to learn, share, and network while exploring best practices in solving hunger.

Nearly 1,000 community members and leaders lined up on the Promenade of the Amalie Arena to convert bulk foods into smaller, family-sized bags to create a balanced meal bag. These bags were distributed to food pantries around the Tampa Bay Area to give to communities in need.

Congratulations to our Community Managers, Amber Uptain and Nicolette Kendricks, for a great job planning and organizing the Fall Festival at Presbyterian Oaks in Talladega, AL. Everyone who attended had a great time!!

Power is back on now at Episcopal Catholic in Winter Haven, Florida but when Hurricane Irma swept through, the SPM Staff and residents were ready to handle anything! This 17-story senior community was without electricity and the staff (Angela and Phyllis, pictured) delivered pizza and ice cold drinks to every floor.

A BIG THANK YOU to all the neighbors who dropped off donations, and Meals on Wheels, who brought lunch bags for the residents.

We're very proud of how our community, our staff and neighbors came together during a very difficult time.

With the recent hurricane devastation in Texas and Florida, the residents and staff of Princeton Towers took action. Seeing a need outside of their own walls, residents stepped up to the plate and started working, along with SPM, to support Hatching Hope of Alabama.

Princeton Towers' service coordinator Janet Graham, the Residents’ Council and several residents placed a call into action to raise funds for those who were impacted by Hurricanes Irma and Harvey. The elderly residents, who are on a fixed income, raised $170.00 for those in need.

We're so proud of everyone who participated!!
