Jose, from Mrs. Wagner's 3rd grade class, is the very first student member of the Dawes Avenue Green Team! Jose helped plant flowers outside of Dawes Avenue School as his first Green Team activity.
The Dawes Avenue Green Team will find ways to make our school healthier and more efficient as we work toward becoming a Sustainable New Jersey Certified School. Green Team members will help organize and participate in activities such as gardening, healthy eating, exercise, recycling contests, and more!
Students who would like to be on the Green Team can let Mrs. Lee or Mrs. O'Brien know.

Due to a scheduling conflict, Summer Play Parents' Meeting scheduled for tonight has been cancelled. Play Auditions will still be held this coming Thursday after school at Jordan Road. Students may sign up for a time slot and access audition materials on Mr. Pallitto's school web page. The Parents' Meeting has been re-scheduled for Monday, May 22nd at 6pm at Jordan Road School.

Today at Jordan Road School the 7th and 8th grade students from Jordan Road and St. Joseph Regional School were brought together to hear the presentation "Never... Alone" from Tracy Smith and her 21 year old daughter Kayla. This is an impactful school prevention program for middle school students. Tracy and Kayla present valuable information along with testimony.
This program was sponsored by the Somers Point Municipal Drug Alliance, Somers Point Police Department and the Somers Point School District in an effort to educate the youth in Somers Point on the dangers of drugs and alcohol.
