Lots of fun. I had done the Pampanito tour several times but never the liberty ship. Much more fun - large, wonderfully restored and loaded with history. You get to go all over it. Don’t miss the as they have lots of old photos, maps, relics and a documentary explaining the Jeremiah O’Brien’s history as well as the role liberty ships played in WW II. See More

Amazing trip around the bay, wine, chocolate, history, what more could you want! I highly recommend touring the engine while it's running. It's spectacular to see a steam engine that large at full tilt!

There are very few ships left from World War II and even fewer that still actually make steam and get underway. The SS Jeremiah O'Brien is a true national treasure, lovingly maintained by a dedicated... crew of volunteers. Truly America at its best and a can't-miss attraction on the busy waterfront in San Francisco! See More

Chet, Jacqui and I went on it about 15 years ago. We were out in the SF Bay for 8 hours. We went to see the Blue Angels. We waited all that time and it was too foggy for the BA to fly. Chet and Jacqui... went down into the engine room. Said it was amazing!! See More

I love seeing what is a big part of our history and the significants of D-Day and what our soldiers went through in Normandy lays deep with me. Seeing the SS Jermiah Obrien was a great expierience an...d a reminder of what all the brave soldiers did for our future. Probably the greatest generation of the American civilization. See More

Absolutely one of the best experiences. Took the Fleet Week cruise on the bay and from start to finish I absalutly had a great time. Loved the history museum and the engine room is a real sight to see.... Good old fashioned steam ingenuity still at its best. The crew was absolutely fabulous and profesional. Had great entertainment along with great food on deck. All in all I'll be coming back next year for this event. Keep up the great work SS Jeremiah O'Brien. See More

Leaving Mare Island Dry Dock!

Today California State University Maritime Academy - Cal Maritime Cadets were aboard helping our crew with various projects. The cadets got hands on experience with our boiler and learned operation techniques.
