It's always great to see reviews from other parents to make sure the program you are getting your child into is what you thought it would be. This summer was my first time enrolling my two children w...ere at 2 different camps based on their ages. Both were THRILLED with their camp!! My son wanted to go in early and stay after because he was having so much fun in his learning! I can't say enough positive about the founding sisters and all of their support staff. As a public educator myself I always focus in on the learning aspects, and the learning going on is top notch. Working in their enrichment books, low teacher to student ratio, learning the vocabulary and hands on engagement.....I am thoroughly pleased and can't wait to expose the kids to more that STEM Center USA has to offer!!!! My children have been learning from Stem Center USA & the Jawaharlal family since 2010! It's been my pleasure to introduce them as an after school program within CVUSD years ago. Introducing your chil...d early on to robotics & engineering is one of the biggest favors you can do. I have a 9 year old who will cry if he has to miss his weekly class! And don't get me started on how being mentored by 2 intelligent young women engineers has benefited my daughter... See More

Are you kidding me.... This is the coolest thing since sliced bread. You're telling me this place gives kids a hand ons environment where they can built robots of their wildest dreams and unleashed th...e entirety of their creativity while learning about electronics, mechanics, physics, and programming even???? THIS, should be the future of education. You want kids to be excited, motivated, and have FUN with engineering? MAKE it excited, MAKE it fun. Don't just stick your kid in front of a tv, leave them at home with the internet, don't settle for a less than excellent after school program, bring them here. I really wish my parents did the same.

Everyone wishes they where programming right because the internet boom happened. Well, ever consider that robotics could be the "next big thing"..? Just maybe. Maybe that's why Google acquired over 8 robotics companies, the most notable being Boston Dynamics. Their current self driving car is a crucial contribution to the future of transportation. Give your kids a friendly wonderful place for them to grow, and years later they'll be bettering the WORLD.

As we sit down with our families and reflect on the year, we wanted to share a big THANK YOU for making an amazing 2017 possible. In October 2011 we set out on a mission to inspire the next generation of STEM leaders. Every passing day humbles us and fires us up even more. We are so passionate about what we do and and are humbled and grateful for your continued support. It has been quite the journey from robotics classes in our living room to our creativity center in Claremont!

Thank you to all our loved ones, our STEM Center families, our fabulous instructors, our Kickstarter supporters, our summer campers, our school partners - you rock! Thank you for giving us the opportunity to work with your kids and for your patience as we grow and learn.

We wish you and your family the best this Thanksgiving!

4 days of DIY, maker, STEM fun! Students in grades 3 - 7 explored various aspects of "making" through projects including balloon-powered cars, DC motor toothbrush bots, and pipecleaner towers. They also explored various aspects of engineering through DIY stations including CAD modeling and 3D printing as well as electronics with Makey-Makey. Students learned to use hacksaws as they made giant, DIY bubble wands and how to safely use hammers, nails and sandpaper with take-home Nail String Art of their design. This was our first "Maker's Summer Camp" and we are SO excited for next year!

This summer, we offered four "Advanced STEM" summer camps. Classes included "Electronics and Coding in Arduino C", "Java Programming 101", "Rugged Robotics with VEX", and "Intro to Engineering with the Pi-Bot". It was awesome!!

Subtopics included CAD modeling, using multimeters, Arduino projects, and squishy circuits.

We have new hours! Our Wednesdays and Thursdays will now be open for "day hours" to accommodate our growing community of homeschooling families

STEM Center USA collaborated with the Cal Poly Pomona College of the Extended University to bring robotics, electronics, and programming education into weeklong, overnight university experience programs with 6th - 12th graders from migrant worker families. This year we reached 250 students over 4 weeks.

Students were divided into two categories - Discover Robotics and Creative Robotics (using the Hummingbird Robot Kit from Birdbrain Technologies LLC.). At the end of the week, students wrapped up their camp with their own DIYed LED circuit cards to take home!

Intro Computer Aided Design (CAD) and 3D Printing with a touch of electronics! This summer was the first year we offered a camp like this and it was a huge success! Students used TinkerCAD, SketchUp, and uMake to create their own keychains, model homes, fidget spinners, and more.
