hi friends, in the last days many people asked me about the engineering and where it is in dependence on the new shuttlebay complex because in the original blueprints and in the show the engineering is positioned where my shuttlebay complex is right now. I moved the engineering slightly to the middle of the hull. There was also the question if the huge shuttlebay complex would fit inside the hull so i decided to make some screenshots of it to clear this up.

Hi friends, here is an update of the shuttlebay complex. I already noticed that some people really have problems with that kind of alteration but it is the only way to make it logical and functional and to fix the inconsistencies from the show. Now i have enough space for all the shuttles. I really hope you like it.

here are some first previews of the lower deck shuttlebay. This is an early version and i still have to draw all the textures to make them fit properly but i really wanted to share these with you as this is something complete new. In the past many people has questioned themself where the Voyager has stored all the shuttles during there 7 years journey. The voyager has lost alot of shuttles in those years and it is obvious that the shuttlebay from the show was just to small to carry all of them. So this is my attempt to fix the inconsistencies from the show. This part of the shuttlebay lies directly under the main shuttlebay.

hi friends i had no time to redraw the existing textures but i worked a little bit on the shading and for now i will leave it as it is and will continue my work on the shuttlebay.

Hi friends, here is my short conclusion for the Oculus Rift. It is absolutely amazing but i will start from the beginning with some words about the HTC Vive. Some days ago i had the chance to test the HTC Vive so i tested the Vive for three days and i was absolutely amazed by the Vive. The controllers are great the display quality is good and the tracking is great. The software which comes with the Vive is also very nice you can even play with a small robot dog. It is really... a great experience and a great product of a high quality standard. Until today i always assumed that the Vive is much supperiour to the Oculus Rift but today i learned that this is not the case. Right now there is a super discount offer (its a bundle) for the Oculus Rift. Oculus massively dropped the price from about 800€ to 450€ for a short time. So i wanted to take the chance and buy the Rift to see if it works well and i really have to say that it is as good as the HTC Vive. The setup is straight forward. No problems at all. The sensors for the tracking system are not as good as the vive ones but not bad either. The bundle comes with two sensors which are working well once they are calibrated but in my case it took me a little bit more time than the calibration for the vive sensors. At the end the tracking works almost as good as the vive one. On a scale from 0 - 100 where 0 is very bad and 100 is very good the vive would be at 95 and the Oculus Rift at 90. So there is no real big difference in tracking. The controllers of the Oculus Rift are much better than the Vive controller. The Oculus Rift controller can recognize the movement of the fingers which is amazing. The display of the Oculus Rift is also better in my opinion. The display seems to render a littlebit smoother i guess both has the same technical specifiactions but somehow the imagequality looks better on the Rift. The Oculus Rift has also a very nice Software. Both System has a nice software but the great thing is that i can use both software with the Oculus Rift so when i play software from the vive it literally feels like im using the vive. That means everything is fully playable. The cables are a littlebit shorter then the Vive ones and less heavy. The headset is equipped with earphones which are good. So what is my conclusion. The Oculus Rift is as good as the Vive in some terms better and in some less but for the price of 450€ its defenitely the winner. Both system are absolutely amazing.

So if you want to buy a VR headset then now is the best time to do so. I would highly recommend the Oculus Rift.

Today i want to say a very big thank you to my supporters on patreon and paypal. With their help i was able to buy the Oculus Rift + 2x Touchcontrollers for a very good price today. Now im finally able to optimize my game for VR. The good thing is, that oculus supports oculus apps as well as steamvr apps. Seems like the latest version of the Oculus is as good as the HTC Vive. I wonder if steam is dropping their prizes for the HTC Vive as well?

Hi Voyagerfans, here is a small update. Im working on a cargobay which carries the baxial (Neelix shuttle). Its underneath the main shuttlebay. When the gate is closed it should look like the regular Voyager. This is my attempt to fix the problem with the storage space for the Baxial and the other shuttles.Practically there are now 3 decks for shuttles which are directly connected to each other.

Got a Vive for the weekend. Its absolutely great.
