The first break in weather we have had, 70 degrees and I'm spending it at the Sandaway. An absolutely beautiful BnB on the water in an incredibly scenic small town. Reminds me of Charleston, SC.
The ...room is perfect and the views to die for. I'll definitely be back for another stay. See More

We can't say enough good things about Sandaway! Our stay here has been wonderful. We got here early but our room happened to be ready so we were able to check in. We stayed in the Tuckaway cottage and... it was perfect! Very clean, really comfortable bed and so quaint. There is coffee, tea, bottled water, ice and snacks available in the main house and the beach house 24/7. The view is spectacular and one evening we had a bottle of champagne in the comfy adirondack chairs watching the sailboats go by. It was magical!
The breakfast basket was to die for; fresh hot coffee, fruit, yogurt, granola and danish that was still warm. Best part about that is that it is quietly left at your door and you have a perfectly lazy breakfast in bed:) All staff here have been so welcoming and pleasant, eager to give you any help you might need.
We will absolutely be back!! Thank you, Sandaway, for giving us such a wonderful and relaxing weekend!!

We simply love it here. Situated right on the point where the Tred Avon and Choptank rivers merge, the view is serene and beautiful. The Inn is rated nationally as one of the best, and it shows. We... wholeheartedly recommend staying here.

We recommend the deluxe cottages that look right out on the river and have their own private screened porches, but every room at Sandaway has its own unique charms. The Gibson family that owns and runs the establishment are gracious and caring people.

The town of Oxford is the kind of place you can walk hand in hand at any time of day or night and feel perfectly safe. There are a few nearby restaurants, in particular the Jim Morris Inn, that are close by and offer great food. If you are up for it, and the ferry is running, purchase a day pass and drive right onto the ferry and cut your trip to St Michael's in half while enjoying a brief 10 minute trip across the river.

We spent our 4th wedding anniversary at Sandaway. We did not want to leave. It was the perfect place to spend a few days away. We will come back again real soon.

One of the very best Bed and Breakfast stays we've ever had. We had an awesome view of the Chesapeake Bay from our second floor screened in porch where we also enjoyed a variety of breakfast items d...elivered in a lovely basket to our door each morning. Every day of our 4-day stay, we felt a sense of peaceful calm and serenity. Sandaway Waterfront Lodging Bed and Breakfast is the perfect location for relaxing and reconnecting with nature and self. Beautiful property! Our stay was peaceful and quiet since it was off season which made for a nice relaxing vacation. It was so nice being able to just walk out onto the lawn and watch sunsets and list...en to the water. I wasn't a huge fan of the breakfast basket since it has no real hot breakfast items, so we opted for 2 days of the basket and two days of going across the street to Robert Morris in for a hot breakfast.....Which was outstanding. We did enjoy walking into the quaint little town of Oxford and having dinner at Pope's restaurant one night. But since it was so quiet we we spent most of our time in St Michael's. Also the ferry stopped running due to off season hours so we had to drive back and forth a lot. Keep that in mind if you're planning on going in the off season. We are glad we found the Groupon deal for this property and definitely plan to return in the future! See More

Just visited with my boyfriend for two nights. Fell in love from the moment we entered the driveway. The view of the bay is so peaceful and serene...The perfect location for a B&B! We stayed in the th...ird floor beach loft. The building is so well maintained- gorgeous! I loved the history of the place. Our room was immaculate. I've already searched online for the bed sheets we had...softer than any I'd slept on! It was lovely to sit out and watch the bay from our private porch...or to sit directly on the back lawn. The breakfast basket was a real treat- filled with yogurt, apples, cinnamon buns, cheese sticks, coffee, orange juice, milk, raisins...Yum! I also appreciated the availability of snacks, water, coffee, etc. in the sitting room. We enjoyed this relaxing haven so much that we have already booked a return visit! Thanks so much for a great experience, Sandaway! See More

Sandaway is a diamond in Oxford's golden crown. Stunning, quiet accommodations, unequaled waterfront view of the Tred Avon River, welcoming hosts, all amenities, and a short walk to fine fare. We sp...ent the first night of our honeymoon in The Carriage House 36 years ago this month, and make it a point to return for anniversaries & other special occasions. It is a treat we look forward to and Sandaway does not disappoint. See More

I visited The Sandaway in October and loved it so much I came back in December, 2014!! Beautiful, historical and just a lovely retreat away from the worrries of life! I stayed in the Beach View Lof...t Suite on the third floor in December. It was beautiful and very private! I had family staying at the Lodge as well in a waterfront with porch room. We loved how we could spend the cold dark evenings visiting in my private livingroom with lovely views, cozy atmosphere, and all the amenities we could want such as a mini fridge, flat screen tv as well as taking blankets down to our private porch!! I loved that my bedroom was actually seperate from the living area so I had plenty of privacy. The staff are lovely and friendly. Everyone goes out of their way to make your stay delightful! The bathroom for this suite is located on the 3rd floor which is all completely private for your use. It made me feel like I was visiting in a home which I loved the quaintness of! The breakfast is delivered at your door with a hot carafe of coffee and a tasty assortment to have as well for later. I stayed in the Water View Loft Jr. Suite in October. It is on the third floor seperate wing so be sure you have no issues with stairs!:) This suite is completely private and my Favorite! Mostly because it was my first time staying at the Sandaway! Beautiful, charming, comfortable and lovely views! The town of Oxford is like going back in time. I completley fell in love! The ferry is a must when it opens again in the spring. The Robert Morris Inn for a lovely dinner. I found The Oxford Market great for any items needed and the best italian sub ever! Joans little gift shop on Morris Street is a must for trinkets and meeting new friends! Perfect getaway and close to Easton to visit delightful shops such as Vintage Books and Fine Art on 7 E. Dover St.
Thank You Sandaway for the most memorable getaway I have had in a very long time!! I cannot wait to come back for another long stay as well as the most spectacular sunsets I have ever seen!! Say hi to Mary for me!! She is such a dear lady and an important part of The Sandaway!
Best Regards,
