Santa Ana is one of the must-see treasures of our National Wildlife Refuge system. Whether your pass...ion is birds, butterflies, or plants or you'd just like a taste of the tropics, this is a fantastic destination. Be warned, though: there's so much to see along the trails, especially during spring and fall, that you won't burn a lot of calories! One spring it took me three hours to walk a mile and a half of trail as there was something new to marvel at every few steps. See More
