Told as packing up to leave that we were not allowed to stay. We operate out of a 2017 Ribucon with a CVT rooftop tent which violated the image they wished to portray, just told the guy we wouldn't be... back to spend any money to help them keep their image intact. See More

Albeit neat & clean, they shouldn't advertise and or charge for unavailable amenities. Wi-Fi & cable non existent , not to mention phone service. A-okay if at a state/national park and their rates. W...e had no hot water for 1st 2 days, then after having reported immediately, 2 days later a decent guy found it had been "turned off"??. We also paid $20 extra per night on top of our rv site fee ( pop-up, water & electric only) for the tent pad which's receptical didn't work. No ability to even charge the the unuasable phone or plug in heat whilst being 50° with 25 mph winds. Again, A-okay if not paying premium price for said supposed ammenities...
White linens at the restaurant? Lowest lunch meal $14?
They allow dogs (for of course an extra fee), but not on even on the walkway to the beach, which was extensive btw.
Save your money and suck it up at a local state park, many of which are directly on the ocean.

Absolutely the most uptight KOA ever I have been coming here for years and love the location. This trip new people working here and they are sooooo rude yell at you if a sticker on your rig is not str...aight. Then last night they had a party at the lodge rage till 1am I said nothing then today I was watching game 6 of NBA playoffs on my outside mounted TV at 6pm in broad daylight and they came up yelling and threating to turn off TV. No out side tvs that would have been nice to have known before I got here JOKE maybe say no TV after 9 or somthing but I was bothering nobody at $117.00 a night you would hope you would be treated like humans. Please bring back the people that used to run this pow camp See More

I rate this as a KOA not as a "camping experience"- not much camping involved but a very nice facility. Just understand beforehand you are not going to get that extra tent or car on your spot- which k...eeps things under control but can be tedious if anyone drops in to say hi and gets hustled off by the staff. Often too windy for a fire- it is the coast after all- and you need to schlep your own fire ring or they'll stick you for $20.00/night to rent one. I saw tons of kids having a ball which is pretty much what it's all about. See More

It was okay. The firewood and ice prices were outrageous... 10 dollars for a bundle of wood and over 4 for ice. And I was very disappointed that there were NO special activities for the fourth o...f July. It appeared all staff took that day off. See More

Nice little place to get away, without driving forever! Enjoyed the view of the ocean from our site, and it didn't hurt that it is on the way to some of the most scenic regions in the USA!

Thanks fo...r a great stay! See More

My girlfriend and I bicycled into Costa Noa about a week ago. Although $58.00 was a lot for a camp spot, we decided to splurge and enjoy what Costa Noa had to offer. We had ridden 50 miles that day, a...nd were tired, and had accidentally mistaken our camp spot for the one next to it, and did not think much of it, until long after we were asleep, a gruff and portly "security guard" in a golf cart awoke us by shining the lights in our eyes, waking us out of a dead sleep. After interrogating us for 10 minutes, he told us that our spot was a $175.00 site (???) and that someone was coming to claim it (which never happened.) We were entirely cooperative tried to tell him that we'd made an honest mistake, confusing it with site with the one next to it, (which looks exactly the same) instead of handling this with tact, he said, "if you don't move now we are going to call the Sheriff." Needless to say, we will not be going back to Costa Noa anytime soon, and would suggest that you do the same til they get themselves a new "security officer." See More

Beautiful campground! About a 20-30 minute walk from the campsite to the beach. It was a little windy, but I don't know if that is typical for that area. They don't allow fires at the campsite, but t...here are comfort areas which have the bathrooms, showers, dry sauna, and fireplace. Very peaceful and relaxing. They also have a playground for the kids. See More

I've been a camphost and security for both Federal and State parks for years very successfully. The cleanliness, amenities, comfort stations (bathrooms with outside fireplaces,) the view, beauty, hors...es and recreation, all well appointed. Sure beats vault toilets and filthy garbage containers. Frankly, walking into this place with the pleasantries of staff and things to explore is like walking into the Marriott. The lodge, dining room and so much more is a class act. I've been camping steady now for over ten years (USFS, NPS, USACE, USFWS, BLM and California and Oregon State Oarks and Costanoa gets my thumbs up! Thank you staff, maintenance, landscaping, recreation, hospitality, security, front desk, food services and more......impeccable job!!!!! See More
