Thanks to everyone for efforts to support the cause.
As they say, life goes on, and that which once was shall forever descend into memory.
Let the memories of this place be good ones....
And always remember: We never reward children for breaking their toys. I hope this is one of many lessons that will teach people to hold their leaders to the same standard. The district was given this building as a gift upon their incorporation, and in the end it was thrown away as an unwanted nuisance. In the future, when things like this happen - speak up! Make your voice heard, and find all the support you can.
The page will remain online, but this will be my final post. There may be an update in the near future regarding a project for preserving memory of older schools, if anyone is curious.
Good luck to everyone in their future endeavors, and be well!
It has been a year since this beautiful old building met its early end.
It's time to move on.
Unless there is any sizeable objection, this group page will be discontinued on June 30, 2014....
Thank you to everyone who followed us on the journey. If anyone wants to save photos from the group, feel free. As far as I'm concerned, they belong to everyone, much like their subject matter.
