In the process of recovering and moving the site to a location it will be more secure, we negotiated with the company that bought out SavingSons.com We have the opportunity to buy back this domain as well, moving it to a secure location where it will not be lost again. They will sell to Saving Our Sons for less than the site's estimated value if we choose to purchase this week. Doing so has several a...dvantages: (1) .com directs people more heavily in Google searches, leading more people to intact information; (2) mistyping .com instead of .org would not make a difference as both would lead expecting families to #i2 materials; (3) SavingSons.com would be secure from being bought out by someone with the intent to misdirect/confuse expecting families with pro-cutting information; (4) the numbers of people Saving Our Sons is able to reach would be greater = more babies saved from forced genital cutting, more future adults enjoying the intact bodies they were meant to have for a lifetime.
If Saving Our Sons is a valuable resource for you, please help us make this permanent acquisition happen. We pour every donation received into expecting families and intact education (expo booths, materials, events nationwide, etc.) where we are able to do the most good, and save the most babies from genital cutting. This past year alone, we've heard directly from a total 712 families via email, PM, expo booth visit, or snail mail, who have brought baby boys into the world and shared that they each kept their son intact because of finding Saving Our Sons.
