I would like to know why a scout member would not be supported by the scouts? Anna Bay scouts nsw had a scout meeting on scout grounds and voted on some materials such as rock etc being brought in for... the beatification projects to be done at the hall due to vandalism.
But the council has fined one individual person not scouts for having material placed on council property. This is $4000 for a family of 5 that has been fined. It now is going to court and Scouts Australia have washed there hands of it.
How can you not help someone that has helped scouts out continuously and still remains helping and participating even though she is going through hell. Scouts is a joke

Ran into some scouters in Ottawa from Australia. As a Scouter in Canada it was awesome to see them but also have them praise me for my volunteer work. Lovely ladies and thank you for all of your work ...with children in Australia! See More

With my son just returning from Jamboree I would like to say what an amazing organization scouts is. Giving our youth the opportunity to do things the never imagined they could. As a group leader myse...lf I have seen in my time many children join who started out shy and reserved and after a couple of months their confidence has grown in leaps and bounds. Please ignore the haters as scouts is a wonderful organization. See More

Thanks to the Sea Shepherd, Train Museum, HMAS Castlemaine and the Royal Yatch Club of Victoria. Also the Ice Cream Shoppe who handled all the kids coming in on Saturday afternoon. Also thanks to and the Williamstown Scouts for the use of their hall. Kids all came back to Korumburra tired but they had a ball. See More

Saddened by the behaviour of a scout troop attending Vivid. Pushing in front of other young people already using one of the installations. When the leader was approached it was laughed off. What are t...he leaders teaching the children. Certainly not respect for others. See More

Apparently emailing other parents on a private matter about a child is acceptable. Disgusting behaviour by people who apparently discourage bullying and are striving to break the cycle. Firstly get be...tter educated leaders before you get them to lead vulnerable minds See More

Tonight I went to pick up my son from his local group when one of the female leaders publicly shamed me for breastfeeding my young baby; telling me it was highly inappropriate to feed her there. I was... horrified and upset by her behaviour; and I will be making a formal complaint about this leader... See More

What an absolute disgrace. It takes you four days to report a sexual crime perpetrated against a child under your watch!? Why do you think your reputation is above the wellbeing of a child, and the la...w? You are sickening. See More

If this is true about dropping the pledge to God and the queen then I am appalled. You guys need to remember where you came from and the traditions the scouting comunity was founded on. Lord Baden- Po...well would turn in his grave. See More

I have written e-mails to Victorian and National HQ's but no one has replied.
A drop kick of a scoutmaster bowled me over by throwing a medicine ball full force at my head when I was still quite young.... Pre-pubescent, definitely. As I pointed out in my e-mails, my neck could (should?) have been broken. I could have sustained other injuries: brain damage being the more obvious and terrifying possibility, but any number of other injuries could have resulted - blindness, death. Although, death is not really an injury of course, but an outcome. I list it anyway.

His name is possibly Sims. Even though this occurred in the 1970s, it is still of importance. He may still be interacting with children, which is of great concern to me, if not to any of the people there who have seen my e-mails. He has to be kept away from children.

(To other people reading this: my generation didn't know they had rights.)

To the people in charge: get thine acts in order. Or together.

Oh, and Queen and Flag! And OI, OI, Oi! And of course bangers and mash forever! Is this not what our forefathers fought and died for? I am fairly certain they did, but I may be wrong.

Carry on.

Being in IT as a kid I never got to experience Scouts as a youth member, thankfully through leadership I have had great experiences and made great friends. Join today to have the experience of a life time.

I am appalled at the notion of dropping reference to God and Queen. This is still Australia and still a Christian country. If minority groups don't feel included because of these traditions, then so b...e it. They need to accept and embrace our ways. See More

What is the true reason for taking God out of the pledge? Now tell the truth. Scouts honour?
