Nice location and polite staff. A tidy, basic beachside cafe with finer dining prices. My wife had a chicken schnitzel, and my sons had nuggets and fish which they all enjoyed. I had the Sails Burger ...which contained one really thick patty which was charred on the outside and raw on the inside. I discovered this after being halfway through so I ate around it and pointed it out to the waitress who failed to give an appropriat e response. Hoping it was good enough quality meat to be ok I let it go and left, only to be hit with food poisoning that night. Can't say I'll rush back for the high price we paid. See More

Just had a fabulous meal here, food was seriously good but the best thing was the staff. Opened sharp to let my hungry young daughter in for dinner and gave her coloring in and story books to keep her... entertaine d. Brilliant service thanks for making us feel so welcome. See More

It's hard to describe what a lovely and perfect example of exceptiona l hospitalit y this place is. We had a pleasure of staying here for a couple of nights. The room was absolutely flawless, no issues ...with the TV, air-con or showers (which happens to be a common problem in most of the motels). On top of that you get a 100% clean room, full of a fresh sea breeze smell :)
It's necessary to mention that every single room has got a beautiful sea view through wide windows with it's own balcony doors. What it means is that you're just one step away from enjoying your morning coffee breathing in some fresh sea air.
Let's get to the best point. The food in this place is extraordin ary!!! You always get the freshest, tastiest and biggest portions. The presentati on of the food, the food hygiene, the taste and the service is literally exceptiona l!!!
I never got to meet such a humble and profession al owners so far.
To be honest with you, I'm highly impressed. Really enjoyed the visit, would like to thank you once again! See More

There was only 10 people in the establishm ent and we waited 20mins for a bowl of chips. Sorry the service was way too slow for a weekend.

I love this place, I always stay for work and usually get my favorite room although they are all nice! The food is fabulous and they are very friendly, just love the view and ocean! Will try and bring... my partner sometime and stay on for the weekend! See More

Stunning view over the beach and jetty. Room was spacious and comfortabl e. For the finicky, the service may not always have been 100% slick but the staff were friendly and doing their best, and hey, t...his isn't the Hyatt. Enjoyed the Bistro and it was reasonably priced. But the view's the thing; short of spending a gazillion dollars at a super premium resort on KI (and even then ...) the sea view rooms must surely be the best on offer in South Australia. And oh, those sunsets. See More

Wow. WE Walked on the beach to this restaurant . Service was as expected. Food for me very AVERAGE. The Risotto was "Chicken & mushroom", it was like stewed rice with chicken and mushroom. Carrot inclu...ded but not mentioned on the menu. No cheese in the dish what so ever. To top off the evening they have a surcharge to pay by card, " savings account " was 19 cents! What the F ! Given Moonta main st restaurant s were booked out, we had little choice. Won't be back. Well, maybe for a beer in summer. Stay clear of the risotto. See More

Waited over an hour for a snitzel, fish and kids meal while 2 groups of people who ordered after us got their meals. Massively understaff ed for what i would have thought would be the busiest time of the year.

The Seagate Motel is still up and running, but our bistro has moved next door, and is now called the 'SAILS Kitchen and Bar'. In place of the bistro, we will be extending our luxury accommodation. Keep an eye out on the SAILS page to stay in the loop with new info. https://www.facebook.com/SailsKB/
