Kids at the Maria Zanelli home were overjoyed to receive their monthly supply of porridge flour.Health and nutrition is a key project area at Miriam Kanana Mubichi Foundation. And what better way is there than to start with the little ones?

I was fortunate to travel back to Kenya in January. This video shows some highlights of the trip. We visited with high school students from Cheryl's Children's Home; and spent time with the Miriam Kanana Mubichi Foundation board of directors assessing project development in partnership with Seeds of Grace. Partnering with Miriam Kanana Mubichi Foundation to build new floors & walls in school to create safer and better learning environment for children.

This photo was taken in 2010. Our team worked in Meru at several schools, partnering with the Miriam Kanana Mubichi Foundation(MKMF). I'm happy to say that three of us are heading back to Meru at the end of January! So excited to return and visit the many projects we've sponsored these past few years!

In this season of gratitude, we are especially grateful for your partnership and gifts. With your help, many children in rural Kenya will thrive because they will receive healthy, nutritious meals and the promise of an education.

For the past ten years Seeds of Grace has partnered with the Miriam Kanana Mubichi Foundation(MKMF) in Meru, Kenya. Our mission is to empower orphans and vulnerable families through education, health and nutrition. We are proud to support the commun...ity development work of MKMF. Some of their accomplishments throughout the past 10 years have included:
Renovating over 30 classrooms
Constructing 4 community libraries
Constructing 60 new school latrines
Installing 2 community water wells
Instituting 6 school feeding programs (lunch)
Instituting 12 primary school health clubs
School Scholarships

Through your generosity you are a conduit for God’s love. Currently we support 25 children who continue to receive school scholarships (including 15 special needs students) and over 50 orphaned preschoolers who receive nutritious meals each day. Additionally, educational projects such as school gardens, health clubs and classroom renovations continue to help enrich young lives by raising abilities and self-esteem.

Every dollar matters. For example:
$30 covers school fees for a child for a month, includes uniforms & supplies
$216 provides nutritious food for 50 orphaned preschoolers for a month
$1177 provides new cement flooring in a primary school classroom

During this Christmas season, will you make a tax-deductible donation to bring hope and promise to children in need in Kenya? Our partnership with the Miriam Kanana Mubichi Foundation, located in Meru, Kenya, is a beacon of hope and development in their community and 100% of funds raised supports their work.

How does your garden grow? Spinach, Kale, Onions, Tomatoes, Cabbage, and more filled the school garden helping to supplement school children's diet with extra vitamins and minerals! This was an opportunity to teach children how to construct, cultivate and benefit from a garden. Surplus veggies were sold to help fund seedlings for next harvest.

Our Kenyan partner, Miriam Kanana Mubichi Foundation is lead by Fridah Mubichi. She is and will change lives as she continues her work in Africa. This article captures the essence of this amazing woman!
