November 1st tried to read my 1st story for the month where they say you can read 4 stories a month for free before needing a subscription! LIES! Can't read the link because the subscribe box comes up...! We had this argument last week and STJ deleted my post and my review so i waited until today to give them the benefit of the doubt! Can't trust the media! Shameful! See More

Need to stop living in the past and do something about all this crime they don't have no respect for the law !!!!!! The law need to take control of the city .If the state trooper can take back the hig...hway why the police & Sheriff department can't take back the city and county they know we're high crime rate is do something about it all these stray bullet don't know where they going , start curfews in high crime areas and more law enforcement to take control so they can ride threw once every hour or two at least be seen in the neighborhood patrolling to make people feel safe and get to know there face ,don't just sit in them car get out and walk threw the neighborhood instead of only time you see them is you call them park them cars and walk the street and you walk up on more crime then you will riding in those cars save Selma & Dallas County thank you !!! Oh Lord why is it we Black folks keep doing, and voting the same old way, and expecting different result. We Black folks always take the easiest way out, and or the road to least resistance.

We Black... folks, the liberal democrats or 93-95% of us who vote this insane way from the cradle to the graveyard literally, always look to the government for a way out. It was not always like this.

We Black folks have now allowed the "muslims" to literally and easily take over BUSINESSES in our very own neighborhoods, and now we are working for them, becoming their "NEW SLAVES", why? Because we Black folks won't, can't, and refuse to take care of our own even tho we have a Black Mayor, and President.

The "muslims", and Indians are showing us Black folks what to do again, and that is pool your resources together and create jobs, and opportunity "FOR OUR OWN". But you see we are so much for self, that we Black folks will not do this thing, even if our very own existence "DEPENDS" on this, what a shame.

It completely ridiculous that you have to pay for a subscription just to read maybe one article a month, if that.

The STJ does a good job of not focusing so much on National news. Coverage of local events is excellent, which should help their market share.
Not nailing down local politicians when they give a vag...ue answer could be improved, hence the 3 rating. See More

I lived in Selma in the late 50's with my Brother Robert E. Dykes station at Craig Air Force Base and my Sister Ruth Chambers that lived in Selmont. I joined the Navy in 1960 and have only been back o...nce in 1982. The Selma Times Journal has done a great job of covering the City and I will enjoy keeping up with the paper to see the city grow. 5 stars for Gilda the gator egg. Thanks to this promotion, memories are made that no amount if money could buy. Spending time with family, hunting that egg is PRICELESS. Gives us a reason to get out a...nd do something! One day maybe we will find it and be doubly blessed. The clues are challenging and fun! Thank you, STJ! See More
