I join ADL Michigan in condemning the reported vandalism at Ahavas Israel Cemetery. There’s no place for bigotry or hatred in Michigan or our country.

We are appalled by the reported desecration of gravestones at the Ahavas Israel Cemetery in Grand Rapids, MI. We are in close touch with the Jewish community and Law Enforcement to investigate this vandalism.

What happened at Michigan State and the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee can never happen again. We must eradicate the culture of abuse that allowed a monster like Larry Nassar to prey on young athletes. We must hold institutions accountable and protect survivors who come forward with reports of abuse.

My provisions to protect amateur and Olympic athletes are now law.
