Today the House voted to transmit the articles of impeachment to the Senate, which means an impeachment trial will soon be underway. As a U.S. Senator, I will serve on the court of impeachment, and take an oath to deliver impartial justice according to the Constitution and the law. During the trial, I will explain the process and update Alaskans through my social media channels.

House just voted on a resolution to transmit the articles of impeachment over to the Senate, meaning that an impeachment trial is right around the corner here in the United States, Senate, I will serve on the court of impeachment, so I've been asked a lot of questions. What does that actually mean and initially it means I will take an oath to deliver impartial Justice, according to the Constitution and the law that is as serious as it sounds and I. That responsibility accordingly in a very very serious manner. I do anticipate that there's going to be a lot of news coverage certainly a great deal of interest from the public on what is happening throughout the course of the trial and I do want to do my best to keep Alaskans informed so know that you will hear from me directly and not from perhaps fake robocalls. I plan on updating Alaskans to explain the process throughout the trial and will do so. Through social media, so thank you.
