Teams are currently building their sculptures here and at the Louisiana Art & Science Museum. Labarre Associates, Inc. are hard at work in the beginning stages of their build. We are excited to be a part of the Charles Lamar Family Foundation Shaw Center Subsidy Grant, which provides funding assistance for organizations domiciled in EBR Parish with 501(c)(3) nonprofit status (colleges/universities, and public/private schools are eligible to apply) to rent Shaw Center spaces, including the Manship Theatre at Shaw Center for the Arts, Hartley/Vey Theatres, River Terrace, and Manship Gallery. Join us at the opening reception of Baton Rouge: A Bicentennial View, an exhibit of photographs by Emmy-winning TV journalist and photographer Andre' Moreau! The reception will take place tomorrow, May 18, 2017 from 6 to 8 pm at Shaw Center for the Arts, Lamar Atrium on the first floor. It’s a show for all of Baton Rouge to enjoy! On display will be large scale unique photographs transformed into stunning masterpieces using paper, acrylic and metal. Exhibition photographs will also be for sale.
