India’s recently released 2018 Economic Survey gushes about its economic progress. At the same time, it also notes the country’s 63 million “missing” women and 21 million “unwanted” girls. Why has India’s rising economic prosperity not delivered more gender equality?

How do you expect women to think of the police as an ally if there is such gross misconduct and abuse of power within the police force itself?

Sexual abuse stays with a person, no matter the length of time, and abusers remain abusers. Apprehending and recognising perpetrators of sexual abuse should carry no statute of limitations.

SportTechie spoke with more than a half-dozen female entrepreneurs and CEOs of companies underpinning the billion-dollar technological shift in sports in order to get a temperature read on gender inequalities in sports technology.

Sexual abuse does not pay heed to age, race or sex and while society is making stringent efforts to bring cases of sexual abuse to light so we can turn victims into survivors, it cannot be denied that society can also be unintentionally biased towards women when it comes to abuse and harassment, often giving male survivors a backseat in the conversation.
Let's create and encourage a more supportive environment for all survivors to engage in a shame free discourse.

“I don’t want her to depend on anyone when she grows up. From the very beginning, I’ve been dependent. I barely left my home until the age of eighteen. I'd o...nly walk from school to home, and even then I’d be accompanied by my brother. I had no idea how to face the world outside. I never even learned to ride a bike. It’s going to be different for her. I told my husband: ‘Whatever she wants to do, I’m going to support her.’ And I’ve already gotten a bike for her. The moment she is old enough, I’m teaching her to ride a bike.”

Thank you, Maharashtra Government for taking women's issues seriously. Read post below, for a more detailed message from our founder, Trisha Shetty.

Great move by Maharashtra Government to pay heed to orders issued by the Hon'ble bench in Bombay High Court in SheSays India's PIL for tax-free menstrual hygien...e products and for women to have guaranteed access to sanitation and menstrual hygiene.
So far, in 2015-2016, for the State of Maharashtra a total budget of Rs.201.78 lakhs and Rs. 638 lakhs for the FY 2016-17 had been allocated under the NHM Scheme through which 44,10,073 Sanitary Napkins have been distributed in a total of only 6 districts in Maharashtra. Clearly the numbers attest that we needed a lot more Government intervention to make sanitary napkins affordable, and this move by the cabinet is a great step in the right direction.
Thank you, for listening to our collective voices and passing a gender-sensitive scheme.
