I love the dirt trails along the river. Unfortunately, Shelby Farms doesn’t enforce its own posted rules. Tons of people with off leash dogs are on the trails everyday. I’ve been chased, nipped at and... generally aggravated by all the lose dogs. I emailed the park about this safety issue and was blown off. Sad to see such great trails not taken care of by the park See More

We visited this stunning park on August 9th 2017. It was a beautiful day to explore the Chickasaw Trail on hired bikes I was so excited to see the buffalo so close to the fence line. Canoeing on the l...ake was fun too. The people at the visitors center/shop were great. All made up to a fab day out. Hopefully we will get to return one day and explore this great park more. We attended the park & pajama sleep over and it went great except the astrology portion was canceled then the movie wouldn't work. When we got back to our tents, and got the kids settled, then later t...he irrigation system was not shut off and all the tents got completely soaked! Everyone and everything got wet! There was no personnel that was reachable and since the gates were closed, made it hard to leave at 3AM! Very disappointed and unprofessional to have guest set up their camp on top of a commercial grade sprinkler system! To have children abruptly woken up like that in the middle of the night while trying to let them have a good experience is unacceptable. Those high pressure sprinklers went off for over an hour! NOT HAPPY See More

Was there for the eclipse and had a great time. Food trucks were great, loved the music, the volunteers were awesome. My only complaint is that the grass where the cars parked was really tall and was ...difficult to drive and walk through. I look forward to coming back to the park. See More

We still need to explore more of the park but, movie night (Back to the Future) was SO much fun! We loved dinner from the food trucks too. We got to park up close because we drive a hybrid. WooHoo! Th...ere were reserved spots just for us. We felt special. It was a bonus to have PERFECT weather in August too. Atmosphere was fun and friendly. We will be back and I will add to our review. To see the better parts of nature that still remain, will and always will be a part, of why I still love to continue my support and appreciate Shelby Farms. The amount of money raised only speaks numb...ers to what the park and conservatory mean to so many others. I can't wait to see many years into the future, of what the park will bring. See More

I love walking around the lake, the Kitchen Bistro, bike rentals, the security guards and all of GOD'S beauty that he ...created for us to enjoy... trees, ducks, grass, blue skies, sunshiny days, Rainey days, etc... Brrrrr! Good morning, Park fans! Heart of the Park is the only area of the Park that is currently open this morning. Assessments of other areas will continue throughout the day. There is still a lot of ice in the Park especially in shaded areas and on trails Stay safe and bundle up!

1:45pm - Gate 1 (Main gate), Gate 11 (Mullins Station) and Walnut Grove | Event Center Gate are all open.

While the sun is helping clear many areas, icy conditions remain throughout the Park especially on the shaded trails.

Big thanks to our Park Rangers who have worked hard in some tough conditions and bitter cold temperatures to keep things running and to keep the Park and our visitors safe.
