As a veteran with a proven record of effective leadership, Mac Warner is the clear choice for West Virginia’s next Secretary of State. Mac has been traveling the state, talking to county clerks, and laying out a clear plan to ensure voter accountability and promote economic growth. Mac is a fresh alternative to the liberal policies that have dominated our state for too long, and he will be a fantastic Secretary of State.

Today, I endorsed my friend Bill Cole for Governor. West Virginia needs a Governor who knows what it takes to grow jobs and strengthen our economy. Bill Cole is a proven job creator who understands that a stronger West Virginia requires investments in critical infrastructure like broadband that will make us more competitive now and in the future. He understand that in order to compete, we must create an environment where our small businesses and our people can thrive. Bill Cole has the right vision and priorities to move our state forward, and he is exactly the kind of leader we need as West Virginia’s next Governor.

Last night, Hillary Clinton clearly stated her intention to bankrupt coal, doubling down on the same anti-coal policies that have devastated West Virginia under the Obama Administration. West Virginia's coal miners have powered America for generations. Because of President Obama’s policies, our businesses and families are already unable to meet their bottom lines and make ends meet. Anyone who promises to finish what President Obama started will only lead to more destruction in our state. I will continue to lead the fight against harmful EPA regulations and policies intended to wipe out coal.

Always enjoy seeing my friend, Speaker Paul Ryan, and celebrating #GOP women candidates.

Friends - I look forward to serving you in the Senate in 2015 and I am confident this will be a year of job-growth, economic prosperity and new beginnings. Have a happy and blessed new year!

My family and I would like to extend our warmest wishes to every West Virginian celebrating the Christmas season. As we gather with friends and family to reflect upon the year that has passed, and the year before us, I am optimistic that West Virginia’s best days are ahead. This Christmas as we give thanks for the birth of Jesus, we will also pray for the future of our great state. Merry Christmas and God bless you!

The passing of Marshall University President Stephen Kopp is deeply saddening and a tremendous loss to both Marshall and our entire state. President Kopp’s dedication to the University and its students is truly commendable. My husband Charlie and I offer our deepest condolences to President Kopp’s wife, Jane, and their children.

Wishing a happy Hanukkah to all those celebrating tonight. Have a joyous and happy holiday!

I’m excited and honored to announce that I have been selected to serve on the Senate Appropriations, Energy and Natural Resources, and Environment and Public Works Committees in the 114th Congress. These committees address some of West Virginia’s most critical issues and will enable me to be a powerful voice for West Virginia’s coal, jobs, and families.
