We came from Iowa for the Iowa /Wisconsin game. Stayed for 2 nights.
Very clean and the staff was very friendly. We were a little surprised there wasn't a refrigerator in the room as we paid $260 per... night to stay but it was worth it to be so close to downtown Madison for the weekend. We also liked there was a complimentary shuttle so we didn't have to drive anywhere ourselves.
The bed was very comfortable too.
The fitness area was also very clean and had very good equipment to use.
It was also a nice touch that we got vouchers for being green.
We would have given 5 stars if there had been a fridge in the room but in all a very nice hotel. We would recommend it to others.

The room was not worth what we plaid. Have stayed somewhere half the price with more accommodations and a better room. We were supposed to be in a "club suite" too. Unsatisfying stay over all. Plus you read on the website for room amenities is a lie. Wouldn't recommend. Doubt the hotel even reads these reviews honestly. See More

This is not what I would expect from a Sheraton. Outside the rooms, it’s beautiful. Inside the room, you’d think you wandered into the 90’s. It’s incredibly outdated. There was rust on the shower ...head. Like all over it. The furniture and fixtures are old. They don’t even have a thermostat for the temp in the room. We stayed at the Comfort Inn next door the night before (Sheraton was booked) and it was SO MUCH BETTER that it was shocking. I won’t be coming back to the Sheraton. See More

They are working through some minor changes with their new ownership, but the staff has the personal integrity to cary on with growing the business within the Madison footprint, and the complexities o...f being a hub hotel in a Capitol city. See More

Room was dirty. Soap was left in the bathroom so who knows if it was even cleaned. Glasses were broken. Room service menu was already filled out by the previous guest. Air conditioner was filthy with ...dust. Not impressed at all with the room. Thankfully room service breakfast was good and the conference center was great. See More

We stayed this past weekend. Our room was filled with flies and when we called to report it the front desk told us "only some rooms have fly problems." They said they would send an engineer to look a...nd see what the problem was??? Nothing was ever done about it we just had to keep killing flies. See More

Our stay was surely less than ideal! We checked in Friday, stayed Saturday and checked out Sunday for a wedding hosted at the hotel. Prior to Memorial Day my sister in law called to get a fridge provi...ded to their room because my four year old niece can't have any milk and they would have to store food. Upon check in they had no fridge! When she inquired the manager wouldn't even come out of the office and she was told they would get a fridge or the hotel would store the food, never happened. When asked Saturday about a fridge staff said they would have one that day but again never happened. The kitchen messed up the wedding meal by giving people the wrong food. Only about 6 people I encountered were actually pleasant and most of the staff looked like at us like we were awful the whole weekend! See More

The below happened on a recent visit and the outcome was handled in a timely, prompt, and professional manner. I would definitely recommend this hotel while visiting Madison.

I would gladly give a 5 review. However, my sister "lost" two pairs of shoes. She had them placed under the desk near the trash cans. They were in plastic grocery bags prior to housekeeping servicing the room on Friday, June 30th. She did not discover them "missing" until the next day. We immediately contacted the front desk, who in turn contacted housekeeping; no resolution was given. Upon checking out, we inquired about an update. We were told that an "investigation" would need to happen with the Chief Engineer. My sister had to contact the hotel, versus the hotel contacting her. No compensation was offered! If we were after "big money" we would inflate the price of the shoes; they were Sketchers and Clark's. I understand that mistakes happen; however, this is clearly on the hotel for mistaking something as "trash". I will not be staying at this hotel again, and will discourage others from doing so. It's sad when a company such as Amazon, doesn't question an oversight and fully reimburses you; yet Sheraton or SPG won't.

It's also quite obvious that management at this hotel does not resolve or attempt to resolve issues that are posted in this forum.

Very nice hotel, friendly people, none better than Tish in the concierge lounge, one of the best I have encountered in any hotel. She greeted every guest, made a point to learn everyone's name and kep...t a great attitude all evening. See More

We checked in about 4pm on a Monday. The room was dirty! A pill of some type left on floor between the beds.....carpet had not been vacuumed - in a while it appeared. Toilet had stains from last gues...ts......and sheets had obviously not been changed. I told them at the front desk.......and we had to leave the room for close to an hour while they cleaned the room. Ever entertain 2 children in the lobby for an fun. And for this I was charged $170....Will not be back. See More

My daughter and I come every year to the Midwest horse fair when we walk into the Sheraton it's like coming home I just absolutely love this hotel so fresh and clean everywhere if your looking for a r...eally nice place to stay a few nights this is it might I suggest you get the upgrade to the 7th floor which includes a great breakfast and a light meal around 5 we always have a good time here See More

The staff at the Sheraton Hotel, Downtown Madison is the friendliest hospitality team that I've ever encountered at a hotel. Front desk, cleaning staff, restaurant staff, and the shuttle drivers...the...y call you by name and remember everything you told them. I came down to inquire about cheese curds. At least 3 staff members asked me how my battery inspection is going. The beds are comfy (I've tried both in my room), the shower has awesome pressure, and the heat settings are actually replicated well...i.e. a change of a degree on the thermo actually has a noticeable difference. Also the price will not break you. Awesome value. Great team. Good comforts. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Josephine and Allison in the restaurant are amazing staff members. I wish I had employees like this. See More

I cannot express how much my daughter and I enjoyed our recent stay! The hotel and staff definitely exceeded my expectations.

I made mention that we would be celebrating my daughter's 13th birthday, ...while booking the room online, and we were surprised at check-in with a complimentary room service item. She really got a kick out of having to use our room key on the elevator to get to our room. I was even more pleased with our room - very clean and fully stocked. The Club Lounge is also a nice perk.

We stayed overnight in Madison, because we were attending a concert across the street at the arena, which I assume accounted for a lot of the Sheraton's guests. I want to commend the staff for consistently being friendly and helpful. I'm sure the volume of people (young adults and parents with young children) can be overwhelming. And even though there were a lot of concert goers, our hallway and room were quiet and peaceful, providing for a good night's rest.

I travel frequently for work/pleasure and will definitely recommend the Madison Sheraton in the future to coworkers, friends and family. I look forward to staying at a Sheraton again!

We stayed on the club level and had the most comfortable, quietest hotel stay to date! The complimentary breakfast and hors d'oeuvre were fabulous! The only hiccup to the stay was when woman baking ...complimentary cookies at 7:30 p.m. Got snippy about us taking more than one cookie....😂😂. My partner just did a Half-Ironman and was starving!! Starting with my shuttle driver from the airport until the very end of my three days there, the staff wa...s amazing. The place was clean, beds comfortable, food great and even the blow dryer was awesome. I presented at a conference and the sound and set up team did a fantastic job and everyone was so kind. Well I did not have face clothes in my room when I checked in. I'm still here and will be for 4 more days. Today makes the 2nd time I've requested face/wash cloths and they keep bringing me the large ...towels you dry your hands with. I'm here on Business and will return for the same reason after the holiday. It's my first time at the Sheraton, but for the amount of money you'd think there'd be microwaves and mini fridges In the room. I have a better experience at the holiday inn and they supply both no matter what size or style room you get. Sheraton is supposed to be a 4/5 star hotel. I'm going to Holiday inn on my 2nd visit, they're in the same parking lot. Also the guy that works the front desk overnight is very nonchalant and is not pleasant. I will say the two young ladies in the afternoon are wonderful. See More

Beautiful Hotel. We have absolutely no complaints. We had trouble with the television, and made a call to the front desk. Minutes later a very nice man was there to fix it. We were a little surprised ...that there was not a microwave in the room, but that was not a .big deal. I personally love that the water closet is separate from the makeup station. We had dinner and drinks at the hotel, the bar tender was very friendly and knowledgable. We also had breakfast in bed, that was a treat and the breakfast was fabulous. Check In was quick and pain free. When ever we are in Madison, we will stay here. See More

There are not refrigerators in the room. For what you pay a night the least they could do is provide a refrigerator. We had to request one for my 4 month old daughters milk. We were told "no problem, ...there will be one in there when you get here". When we got there we did not have a refrigerator and were told it was because there were multiple request. We had no where to put her milk seeing we thought we were getting a fridge and didn't bring a cooler. Long story short, we eventually got a fridge delivered to our room! See More
