We eat at Sho Nuff often. Really good choices on the menu! Roast beef, fried pork chops and lots more. Best Mac n cheese I’ve found. Just tried the buffet today. Everything was very good. Hambur...ger steak just needs to be a little thinner and put some onions in it. Gravy delicious. I think one person at our table was drinking it through a straw. Fried chicken exactly how it is suppose to be but maybe add some small white meat pieces. Vegetables were very good too. Wish fried fish were on buffet today too. Can you add hot water cornbread and homemade rolls to the buffet? Chocolate cake good but add cobbler too. Larapin! Best soul food for the soul ever! We’ll be back again soon. See More

Stopped in for a bite and discovered the nicest folks serving some delicious down home southern comfort food. An amazing buffet of meats, veggies and OMG the peach cobbler is worth the drive from Iow...a!! Then the owner discovered we were from Iowa and insisted we also taste his jambalaya and etouffee. Another OMG 5 Star for both dishes. We will definitely come back on our next trip to TX!! See More

Day before thanksgiving, on way to get kiddo a little early, had to go pay a fine in Rockdale. Yelped for lunch, and up popped this spot. WORTH IT! Just a quick 2 turns off 79, and the most gracious h...ospitable people you could meet. Food was delicious, can't wait to come back! See More

Oh my, what a treat. Some of the best food I've ever had. Sho' Nuff Soul Food Diner just knocked it out of the park. Today I had perfect Fried Chicken and smothered pork chops, collard greens, cabb...age and sweet tea for lunch. Followed up by some of the very best, "made daily" homemade peach cobbler. Actually, on the cobbler I don't believe I've ever had better. And if you knew all the great chefs in my family, you'd know I'm saying a lot. Everything is made fresh daily and while it's in season. Head Chef Tony Brooks and his staff have out done themselve. On the service, none better. The staff was continuously moving and Irma Marie was there just at the right time, every time. And let me say, the service is very important to me. I certainly don't like it when they drop off you food and then disappear not do I like it when they hover over you. Irma Marie was perfect. She somewhat, monitored me from a distance and knew exactly when I was ready for more tea or had any other need.

Now, I want to warn you in advance. This food is extremely good and the people of Rockdale know it. I didn't have to wait to be seated but this places is busy and people were continuesly coming in. And being that everything is cooked fresh, they did run out of two of the specials for the day, the smothered pork chops and I think the meatloaf while I was there between 12:30 and 1:00. However, Tony quickly started making a new item. What I'm saying is that the food is that great so don't be late. However, if you do get there later, the menu is full of great items.

After my meal I went over and visited briefly with the creators of this amazing restaurant Dr. & Mrs Brooks and told them what a great enjoyment my meal was and how under priced it is. Shortly after that Dr. Brooks was kind enough to give me a tour and I discovered even more great things. In the back I found a large room for private parties, three large bbq pits (watch for a review coming soon in Texas Barbecue on facebook.) and a Cajun Kitchen. So when it's crawfish season again, you know where you will find me, my Son and daughter-in-law. Right here at Sho' Nuff.

Sho' Nuff is located at 101 Mulberry Street in Rockdale, Tx. and they are open Tuesday - Friday from 11am - 3pm. Serving both catfish and Barbecue on Friday. For more information you can reach them at 512.446.3047 at the Diner and the office at 512.446.5564. Go ahead, you know you want to. Get you some great food at Sho' Nuff Soul Food Dinner.

Meatloaf, candied yams, collard greens, cornbread and cobbler. The food was very good, along with the service. I will be going back soon! Well worth going out of your way for!
