Movement exploration is even more fun and revealing when you make a game out of it. Like GMB Trainer EdithMaria does here, at a park in Copenhagen. She challeng...ed herself to create a movement flow with one hand in contact with the ground at all times. Give it a try (feel free to change up anything that's beyond your ability and make it your own) and let us know what you learn about your strengths and weaknesses.
For more movement exploration, check out our 28 day movement program:

Am 7. Januar 2018 ist es wieder soweit. Unser Neujahrsritual 108 Tekki Shodan findet statt.
GMB Head Coach Ryan C. Hurst explores one of his favorite exercises—the planche—with a flow practice. He's playing with different ways to get into the tuck plan...che, rolling into the full planche, and finally, working on a planche push-up drill.
The planche is an advanced skill, and it's pretty much impossible to achieve if you try just jumping into it. If this seems like something you want to set your sites on, start with our free tutorial:
A short video with the first movements of my demonstration at the Chinese New Year celebration 2016 in Friedrichshafen.
Smooth, controlled motion that combines strength and skill. That really gets us going.
If you wanna learn to move like our Head Coach Ryan C. Hurst does here..., start by establishing a base of strength, flexibility, and motor control. We lay that very foundation in our intro program, Elements. It's a lot of fun, too:
Sag ich doch schon die ganze Zeit ...
“One serious problem, in my opinion, which besets present day karate is the prevalence of styles. I believe this will have a deleterious effect on the future de...velopment of the art … There is no place in modern karate for styles … Indeed, I have heard myself and my colleagues referred to as the Shotokan style, but I strongly object to this attempt at classification.” - Gichin Funakoshi, Karate-Do: My Way of Life.
I agree with him https://www.iainabernethy.co.uk/…/styles-are-they-killing-k…
This morning we posted an article about incorporating play into your workouts...and we didn't mean Monopoly or Hide & Seek.
1. Play at the edge of your abil...ities.
2. Play with mindful engagement.
3. Have FUN.
In this video, GMB Lead Trainer Kirsty (Garage Gym Girl) does all three. She tests her limits, experiments with new transitions to see how her body responds, and yes...rolling around on the floor can be a hell of a good time! There are so many ways to play with exercises, as you're getting comfortable with them, and after you've mastered the basic positioning.
Whatever your level, dream up different ways to get into familiar positions. And don't let it get boring!
Es muß nicht immer "allignement" sein....
