Shakira!!! She was on the today show this am! This lady always gets me up dancing:) & by shaking my hips, I can engage my abs and get a small workout! Who says exercise has to be boring??!
Sorry for the blurry pic! My muscles are shaky from a crazy workout! Here's my dinner...spinach with grilled ckn, carrots, celery, and apples! I made my own dressing...tad bit of balsamic vinegar, evoo, lemon juice, salt and pepper! We were out all day so my body is craving veggies! I also had to do my workout in two separate times! But I got it in;) Hope everyone is having a lovely day!
Tesha...here is the brand I use. I use the directions on back...1 cup quinoa with 2 cups of water, bring to a boil and then let simmer for 15 min or until seeds are translucent!
Dinner tonight! Quesadillas! I use chicken (prepped earlier), cheese, and whatever else I want in it! Tonight it was tomatoes, blackbeans, and corn! I already had the griddle out so dinner was super quick!
Sunday prep!!! I cook chicken (pictured), wash and freeze fruit and veggies, make a batch of clean goodies, make quinoa, or anything else on my menu for the week! Set yourself up for success by planning ahead and prepping:)
This is what's for snack today I pop my popcorn in a brown bag vs. buying store bought microwave popcorn. So much healthier!
Did you get your body moving today?? I did! And guess what, at 8:45 pm I did my workout, but I did it and that's what counts. I'm a busy mom who works crazy hours! I gotta work out when I can. I enjoy working out. It's me time and I can relieve stress!! I'm doing ChaLEAN Extreme right now, which is my favorite program! I lost the most inches and weight doing this!! It's an intense weight lifting program. Muscle burns fat, it really does!!! And boosts the metabolism! Go heavy or go home!!!!!
Dinner tonight: slow cooker bbq chicken! I normally make my own bbq sauce, thanks to thegraciouspantry.com, but I was in a hurry. I found some pretty close to clean sauce at Earth fare this past weekend! It has organic cane sugar and "spices" so technically it's not 100% clean, but better than kraft!
4 boneless chicken breasts
Bottle of bbq sauce or 1 cup of homemade
Throw it all in crockpot and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours. Shred chicken when it's done. I eat mine ...without bread, but my boys will put theirs on whole wheat buns! I steamed green beans and added them to last night's leftover veggies!

This is one of my favorite staples to have on hand!! I make all sorts of things with these! My current favorite treat is the slice some apples, heat up some peanut butter and drizzle over apples (make sure peanuts are only ingredient), and I sprinkle these on top!
