I respect most all officers for their courage & duty. I have seen your unmarked patrol car & was wondering in light of the fake police who attacked a couple they sucessfully stop what will happen if I... don't pull over for your unmaked unit? My understanding of Georgia law, the unit MUST be marked. I believe if its a felony stop a marked unit is still required to initiate a stop. While I respect the SPD I afraid of getting snatched out of my vehicle, slammed to the ground for attempting to flee. Like the Atlanta police who are being punished & assigned to the Airport do to people who briefly stop. AJC says “We want to caution the public to not stop for a unmarked police car or someone flashing their lights,” Chamblee police Capt. Ernesto Ford told Channel 2, “unless they can positively identify it's a police car.” I'm sure you are familure with the issue in Chamblee on Tuesday night.
Would appreciate a response on how Chief Whitehead feels?

We are grateful for the Snellville Police Department. This cold morning, my husband and a few other guys were at the front of our neighborhood planting flowers after the recent sidewalk project on Oak... Road. Officer Smith saw the guys working in the cold and drove on to the Racetrac Station to purchase four coffees. When he checked out, the cashier would not take money. The officer brought the coffees back to the cold guys working and stayed to talk and encourage the workers. Every encounter we've had with them has been positive and makes us appreciate them and our community. See More

Any man or woman who is willing to risk their life to protect mine is a hero. That goes for police officers, firefighters and first responders. The Snellville Police Department does an amazing job and... I know they don't hear "thank you" nearly enough. My family has also been fortunate enough to be in the Fire Station 12 district and they came to my father's aid more than once as his health deteriorated. They were kind, gentle and went the extra mile to comfort our family each time they responded. So to all the people who keep Snellville safe, thank you for your service and God bless you and your families. See More

Wish I could rate them zero stars for zero service. Unless you count pulling people over for absolutely no reason and charging them an ass ton of money once they figure out which one of the 5000 thing...s they want to charge you for. FTP. See More

All they do is sit on 78 and 124 and worry about little traffic violations.. was recently pulled over by a Snellville police officer on 78 and he was actually a really nice guy, so.. props for that.

We've lived in Snellville 20 years. The PD is great. I see them regularly patrolling our neighborhood. Living between the Middle School and High school, they often are watching during school hour...s, protecting our kids who walk to school.
I greatly appreciate this! We love and fully support our Snellville and Gwinnett Police officers.
