A victory today. We were Heard by our Los Angeles City Council this afternoon... Now all “Food Tent... Restaurants” must apply for a County Health Permit. A great start to a new issue. Again, this is not a vendor issue, it is a safety for health issue.

Cost:

To assist, The permits are now voted reduced to give a strong start for these Tent Restaurants to comply with Health and Safety, then revert back to the set amount of $ 500.00 after 6 months. Knowing now that permit fees are used to hire inspectors. Right now there are only 17 new hires for this purpose for ALL of Los Angeles, much LESS than we need. If the problem persists, then we will need more inspectors, and fees could go up for everyone. We hope to prevent that for us dreamers of strong brick and mortar, hard working, successful restaurants. Please support our cause and keep sharing. partment Permit. This is a great start.
