I find it rather funny that all of what we say here on the page has officially been backed by the ESA. The LEADING cause for why consumers buy video games is an interesting plot or premise. Now the sales decline of Sonic makes perfect sense: Sonic Colors and the rest of the following Colors Era games have all lacked in engaging content or interesting plots. I find it funny how "innovative gameplay" does not even make it as a demographic percentage, further proving that gameplay mechanics are not the first thing most people consider when they purchase a video game. (Unless you count the "Other" percentage)

I think it's long overdue for this silly "story" debate to come to an end. Time to find something else to war over, Sonic fanbase. wink emoticon
