We needed a spot in Conshy, that could accommodate a large party for a baby’s first birthday. The group was almost all adults so we wanted something pretty tasty, with space, and high chairs. And we been to the pub a million times for this type of occasion so we thought hey-how about Southern Cross? We had been there before, it was always pretty good, but never really hit the list of our go to spots for some reason.

Well this visit shot them to the top. Service was excellent, multiple staff touched the table and they were so accommodating to everyone in the party. When somebody got a beer they ended up not liking (my family is full of beer snobs) they happily exchanged it. They brought out the kids food quickly and were just super on top of their game.

Our friend who was visiting from NYC remarked how impressed he was that every time we bring him somewhere local-the food is exceptionally good. Everybody loved their meal and there was something on the menu to accommodate multiple dietary restrictions. I know the owner is very involved in her business and that dedication showed itself through the staff we interacted with on our visit.

Sadly the bartender thought she was above us as we needed to wave to get her attention because in a loud bar, how else do you get their attention when they’ve walked by multiple times?? I waved anothe...r bartender over who claimed to be the Mgr (@12:15 tonight) and he then claimed he couldn’t make a shot for us then went on to say he wouldn’t serve us.. never was told why... maybe because I said the chick was rude... we’ll assume it was because the bartender had her panties in a bunch. Such a shame because I was planning on frequenting this establishment often. The first bartender we had was amazing before he left for the evening. See More

This was our first time visiting. The food was very good my problem was the customer service and the person cleaning the tables, who decided to talk about personal issues in my ear shot not I also waited to be seated close to five minutes before a nice young lady advised the host we were waiting. I might come back I’m a foodie but the customer service needs to improve! See More

Always love this place. The food is great, best cocktails in Conshy, awesome staff; but I just put a bunch of money in the TouchTunes juke box and then found that several of my fav artists got “filter...ed out” Super bummed, always love getting drinks here after work, my coworkers and I love to listen to our fav tunes and chill. Seems a waste of cash when I can’t pick my own music. See More

We have been here twice and the food and service were great. Third visit, I am am appalled by the hostess. She is talking on the phone, loudly enough for other guests to hear, about someone apparently... calling out for their shift and describing in detail about vomiting and diarrhea.

Are you kidding me? I hope this is a one off, but I need to say how uncomfortable that made us feel.

My husband and I went for Sunday brunch yesterday for the first time. We live in Langhorne which is about 35 min drive on Turnpike but hubby works in Conshohocken and passed this place and since my f...amily are huge brunch/foodies we had to try it! Well we will definitely be back with our adult children and spouses! Staff was very friendly and informative with helpful suggestions for first time diners! The place is very southern cool! Loved the decor! We started with monkey bread which was very good and we had Short rib Benny, Cheese grits, Bacon, eggs and biscuits I will dream about! Will be going back for fried chicken! Food made fresh from scratch so worth the wait which really was not long although we were warned it might be a bit! We don't rush as besides enjoying food we like to enjoy each other's company and we never felt rushed! We will be back with our crew! See More

I moved to Conshy at the end of June and have already been here 3 times. I had brunch twice and dinner once - it's amazing! I highly recommend the fried chicken and biscuits brunch meal. The biscuits ...are so flaky, delicious and buttery. For dinner, I had their fried pickles and cobb salad. Best fried pickles ever! We loved sitting on their upstairs back porch. It has true southern charm. See More

Had my husbands 40th birthday party upstairs and we had the best time. Melissa took care of everything for us and made the whole process easy and stress free. The space was warm and inviting and the f...ood was amazing. Everyone raved about the mac and cheese and the chicken sliders. The staff constantly brought more food out for our table and the bartenders were fantastic, nice and attentive. Thank you to Kim and Marianne for allowing us to use this beautiful space for a great night! See More

We had a very nice brunch on Sunday. Every plate was extremely delicious. I had never had shrimp and grits and I loved it! The only negative was the rudeness of the man who checked us in. We didn't a reservation and when we asked about being seated he replied "A very long time." Didn't even ask for our name. We went upstairs and said something to the woman ( Curley long hair) and she seated us right away after making some "adjustments" to the reservations. It was a Birthday gift from our son and his fiancé for my husband and I both. Nothing could spoil the time we spent together though. See More

Big shoutout to both Southern Cross kitchen & Gypsy Saloon. My family and I went for brunch this morning and there was a half an hour wait at Southern Cross, which can be impossible with a 1 & 8 year ...old. We were offered a table at gypsy saloon without a wait in regrets from souther cross' staff for not having availability, so we headed over the bridge to the gypsy saloon. When we arrived there was a table set with drinks as well as a highchair for my son. We sat down and our waitress brought over an app tray instantly, compliments of the southern cross for being patient and heading over to their sister restaurant. The food was great and the kids loved the environment & even their Mickey Mouse pancakes (that were only $5 for kids meals!) can't wait to go back for a date night soon. :) See More

Went for brunch today - delicious food & great service! Although we had an extremely long wait for our table, the owner & staff could not have been more professional in making sure we had a great expe...rience nonetheless. We would definitely recommend this place (and if you are planning to come for brunch, be sure to make reservations the night before!). See More

I love SCK for a girls night or family brunch and dinner. The menu is perfect for kids and always a hit with the entire group. Southern hospitality goes a long way here with great servers like Willie ...and a peek inside the kitchen for my son to meet the chef by the owner. The patio makes a fun night out with friends and there is always great music! See More

Today was my first time at Southern Cross and let me start of by saying I'm a fan of their sister restaurant Gypsy Blu however this establishment seriously lacks in comparison. Upon arriving our group... was made to wait plus move out of the 'way' (even though we had a reservation), service was horrendous nearly waiting 30 mins for cocktails on top of the manager being completely rude in our request to split the check. Isn't there a saying the customer always comes first? Apparently not here. See More

We just had drinks and dinner with friends at SCK. It was the first time for all of us. We loved the atmosphere and vibe from the moment we walked in. The service was welcoming and professional. A...nd the food was amazing! The brisket grilled cheese is a must have, along with the fried chicken and jambalaya. And the house made desserts were off the charts good! Drinks at the upstairs bar capped off a wonderful evening. See More
