I love this company so much I ordered seeds from them for the first time this year and my garden has been amazing. Especially the Costata Romanesco squash seeds I bought . I grew big beautiful with them that tasted great ! Also they have lots of seed saving supplies and directions are on their website on how to save seeds . Best seed buying experience I've had. Looking forward to one day visiting the store in Asheville. See More

You're doing such important work! Thank you from me and future generations! So pleased you've ensured some of the greasy beans will be preserved for others to enjoy. I grew up hearing about Greasy Cut... Shorts from my Granny in DC suburbs. She would drive us all over looking for good green beans like she remembered from Asheville where she grew up. Will share your catalog with my Virginia cousins so they can try the beans they heard Granny talking about . See More

If I could I would give them a 0 !!. I buy lots of things online and try to buy from a small business when possible. After an abundance emails to/from Kate and Angie I am still not satisfied. Long short: I purchased watermelon seeds by mistake!! I THOUGHT I was buying pickled watermelon rind. I can assure you had I known I would have not bought seeds. I am NOT a gardener! I am unsure what happened. It was to be Bradford watermelon rind pickles. As soon as I received the SEEDS I asked how I could return them. I got an email stating that because of federal law they were unable to take them back. (Then at the end of an email Kate stated... but you can plant these seeds and have plenty of rinds, heehee).
I asked to see the "law" that you can't return seeds. I was sent lengthy FDA regulations and laws but never saw the actual LAW that said they could not take seeds back. I paid $50 for these seeds and trust me, I would have NEVER done this!!! I am an honest person and their excuses are nuts.... Angie (the MANAGER) even went so far as to email and say that I could sell them myself as they were coveted. Yes, I know they are great seeds but if so rare why not take back?! The seeds are in the SAME PACKAGE NEVER OPENED! Nope ..never ever ever ever will I even LOOK at this website. I also plan to file a report with The Better Business Bureau. I would not have done this except the excuses and lies i.e. "laws" .....these are for to ridiculous. I feel taken!!

I had the pleasure while at Campfire Conference in Black Mountain to visit the store and it was a gardener's dream! I had so much fun picking out all the seeds for the organic garden at YMCA Camp located in Greensboro, NC.

Upon returning from the conference I received an email that said they would donate to the garden! With these seeds I've been able to extend and plant a new pollinator garden for the campers enjoyment!

Excited to have them come out this summer once the garden is up and going! Loved the sign they sent too! Maybe I need to get one of their t-shirts! Love love love this company...thank you Sow True! Definitely thrilled I went with this company for the 2016 growing season.

We ordered sweet potatoes did not get half our order the ones we did get were really bad and our order still show pending status I think it is sad that you can sell stuff you do not have. If you do no...t have enough then a refund should have been given right away. And if it was poor quality then you should not sell either. It has been over 6 months and still no word about the order, or refund, poor customer service. Also poor quality will not order again. You would think if a small company you would value all customers and quality of your items over making a buck. See More

I found this company because I was searching for Wapsie Valley Corn, which can be difficult to find. I'm in CA, so they are clear across the country. My order arrived so quickly, I was surprised! Thank you!

Lovely old couple came in with a pepper plant that had been in their family since 1935. They were concerned about preserving the heritage and wanted us to steward the variety. It's a hot beautiful variegated pepper, kind of like a large fish pepper. Drying some seeds so we can have a farmer grow it out next year and then get it to home gardeners the year after #seedsaving #whywedowhatwedo
