honestly just studying manga ive read LOL
at some point you get a better idea of it and can make it more your own by looking at your own face for refs, and just knowing your own ~feelings~
like when drawing emotions, exaggeration helps a lot unless you’re going for more subtle stuff. like think about what it feels like to be happy, sad, angry, etc,
...like when i think about feeling angry, i think about grinding teeth, very furrowed eyebrows, the face just pinching and the creases just centering around the middle of the face, like this
i guess think about the flow/direction?? it can help….
lot of it is also redrawing until it looks right lmao
