We just returned yesterday from SPC, and already missing it...
My kids enjoyed a-lot there, specially my little one who I think haven't got enough of your pet turkey and chickens...he is still talking... about them and want to feed them..

Dana made our trip to SPC more interesting, he actually taught me about fishing, kayaking and grill fire (I knew but not in right way), Thank you Dana, you were so nice.
I am already thinking to plan the next trip, once my wife and kids are also ready (they are little scared to go to outhouse in the evening/night)..
See you soon...

Not very good business practices when you cancel a person's reservations without any explanation. Will definitely not recommend this place to stay at.

My best friend and i have been going to the northwoods for 20+ years. All along the west branch, stayed at many places. But what Christy &Dana have is special. Cabin was clean and in great repair. The... pond was magnificent. As hosts the two of them were great! Not a bad word about the whole trip!! I could go on and on.. in short, spencer pond camps is a must if your coming to the northwoods!! See More

We spent our honeymoon here is August. As soon as we pulled in we knew we were exactly where we need to be. It was perfect, quiet, relaxing, away from the hustle and bustle of the real world. I could ...go on for days about how much I loved it here. I miss my quilt that I stayed snuggled in for the entire trip,I was sad to leave it behind. We watched a meteor shower while lying on the dock with lots of blankets and pillows, took morning kayak rides, saw a big moose up close, visited with Charlie most of the day (we now have a pup who will love to play with him this summer). I think everyone should visit a place like this at least once a year to "detox" from real life, it's so refreshing. I often find myself craving a trip here. Can't wait to get back to our little cabin, bemesis! Thank you so much!
P.s. owners are so friendly and ready to help or have a chat..they even left us chocolates and a card knowing it was our honeymoon

We had a amazing trip to Spencer Pond Camps. We stayed in the Main Lodge for three night in late May '15. By far the best family vacation we have ever had. Dana and Christine were very welcoming an...d did what ever they could to make our stay great. I would highly recommend Spencer Pond Camps. The only negative was we didn't on stay longer. Can't wait to go back in November. See More

Spencer Pond Camps holds the essence of what captivates people who visit Maine, and what blesses those who live here. If your soul needs a shower and your senses need a reclamation book some time ther...e and enjoy yourself. The rest will explain itself. See More

If you're from Maine or somewhere far away, Spencer Pond Camps is an awesome vacation destination. The lake sized pond is wild with only the six cabins on the entire pond. Each cabin is unique and fun... to explore. The beds are all made up for you when you arrive, the hosts are incredibly helpful and super friendly, the views are absolutely gorgeous, and the sweet solitude is unparalleled.

The first time my family went to Spencer Pond we all fell in-love with the place. My twin daughters were just 7 that year and they caught enough fish to feed an army (it might have been that they caught the same few fish over and over again! But who cares, right?) The kids feel so at home there, they've asked if we can move into a cabin and live in it year round! The point is, we had so much fun that we had to return that fall because we just couldn't wait another whole year to go back!

It's been 3 years since then and we've returned each spring or fall or both! We love it there! This year we sent other family up to see it and they too fell in love and had to return for a fall trip. Maybe it's the beauty of the place, or maybe the sweetness of the reminders of the good ol' days, or maybe the way the wind blows through the great big healthy woods, or the sounds of the loons, or the hosts and their laid back hospitality...whatever it's something I just can't put into words and it's definitely not something that can be found anywhere else that I've ever been. When we go there our children become children and we become people - it's so simple there.

In one day there you can hike some of the trails right on the property, kayak (for free), bake a cake (with all of the pans you could ever think of in the cupboards), make a fire in the wood stove, go on a moose safari just by simply walking down the lane or driving if you prefer, play an assortment of games stocked in each cabin, read decades worth of journal entries of guests who've stayed in the cabin you so fortunately reserved, have incredibly intelligent conversations with Christy, bird watch, fish, climb a mountain, and then cuddle up in your cabin with your favorite meal because they even have gas run refrigerators. If you're really into spa type vacations, maybe this isn't your thing...but if you admire the wild, love uninterrupted time with your family, and feel like a kid again each time you see a moose - this place is for you! I won't write a book here...but I really could. I can promise you that you won't be disappointed by checking this place out. Did I mention that they even accommodate babies by setting up a crib for you? They seriously have thought of everything.

The reason I'm writing this right now is because I was just longing for the place and had to look at their Facebook I took the opportunity to write this. Even though I'm terribly jealous that Dana and Christy get to live my own dream, I hope they and their beautiful little ones know what an awesome job they're doing up there in the North Woods! I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't get to experience the place...

Possibly my favorite part - using the hand pump at the sink! And we needed that stove one day!
