Lawn bowling is a wonderful way to spend your summer days and evenings. Also, is good exercise. The venue of the St. Mary's Lawn Bowls Club is the perfect venue with the beautiful backdrop of the water.

It was an exciting day at the Bedford Lawn Bowls Club as sixteen mixed fours teams battled it out in the Late Owl Mixed Fours tournament. In the end, it was th...e Wanderers, St. Mary's and Bridgetown combo of Dennis Mullane, Debbie Foster, Carolyn Smedley and Bob Murray who picked up this year's title with a 5-1 record. Congratulations to all who competed in this year's event. Up next on the LBNS Provincial Schedule is the final event of the 2017 Season, the Cobequid Open Pairs at the Cobequid Lawn Bowls Club.

We decided to change the meter stick game to the “2 Jack” bowls game and we will have it on Saturday 30 September 9:30 for 10:00am. This provides a new and exciting bowling experience to all bowlers looking for something a little different. Please come by 9:30am and we will explain the rules and scoring before we start. If you are interested in staying for another game in the afternoon please bring your lunch.

Looking forward to seeing you.
