Tell people what you think

You can not pay your tax bill with a credit card at the collectors office so you do it online. The convince fee to do that is 2.5% of your total bill. Convenient for whom? The company who processes... the payment. You can not convince me that there is any additional risk to this company to process a bill through a credit card regardless of the amount. I don’t mind paying a convenience fee. But $51.00 is highway robbery. I surely think our county could contract better than that. I am sure glad we are moving away now. Florida reduces and or eliminates many taxes on the disabled. We have paid out dues. See More

I can not wait to leave this county. Worked for the county. Was wrongfully terminated. Decided not to fight them on it because I realized I am much healthier now that I no longer work there. Now they ...are going to take away your privacy, as they did mine. All in the name of safety mind you. Their upper staff are BULLIES. As for living here, they have done nothing in my neighborhood that has been good. And I don't think the people are all that friendly either. See More

I owed less than a $100 for water service. They came and turned me off and wanted over $300 to turn me back on. What a scam! They are taking advantage of people.

We moved to St. Charles in 1969. It was called 'Down Town Harvester'. Took at least a half hour from Pitman Hill Road into town, depending on how many tractors were on Old 94. Saved Daniel Boone stamp...s from Hedges and Hafer grocery store. Still have items purchased with the stamps. Have seen many changes over the years. Homes sprung up like mushrooms where there were acre after acres of crops, still see residential building up and down 94, which has been renamed 364 in some parts. So proud to live here and be known as some of the 'ol timers', and have had the privilege to have known the 'original' ol timers that created the country and farmers atmosphere.
As Dorothy would say...'there's no place like home...'

I moved into St Charles in 1973, and I have really fallen in love with the people here . There really is something about this place that few other cities have . I travel to many other states and visit... many cities . I often find myself comparing them with St Charles ,and I must say they just don't measure up to my town . St Charles is a great place to live . My daughter works for the city and she feels the same . We have a wonderful police force ,they maintain the peace with integrity and honor ,always kind and courteous. See More

Well evidently st charles county parks did not keep their promise of renovating the old Sammelmann farmhouse for the new upcoming Sammelmann Park. They pushed it over. Such a loss. This was my great ...grandfather's. St Charles County newsletter even had the picture of it on the front of their newsletter. Too bad it was sold at a cheaper price so they would keep the house!!! I'd like to hear from Steve Ehlmann on why they lied. See More

I just wanted to give a HUGE THANK YOU to all the amazing police officers that checked on our home for us while we were out of town. For 3 weeks, they came by several times during the day and the eve...nings to make sure all was good. Even tho a friend was staying at our home, I had requested a vacation check because someone had attempted to break into our shed in our fenced in backyard 2 days before we were scheduled to leave. These officers made contact with our house sitter and made sure she was safe as well.
We are so grateful!! Thank you again!! Stay safe!!

Went to the Family Arena this afternoon and unless something changes I Wong be back and I'm also letting everyone else know to stay away from there. All conditions are very poor except for the show. W...e waited an hour and a half to get into/to park. When I spoke with a supervisor about this he never once apologized and blamed us for not leaving our houses on time when everyone that's employed there knows the horrible conditions. Their Facebook page is smeared with all bad things. The whole construction is silly. There was one way to get in to the parking lot, how about opening it up? The place is a fire hazard, the walk ways are very narrow. I may be wrong but there only seemed to be a few working bathrooms. I hope something is done about this. See More

opportunity abounds with the whole license, property tax thing. One area has a # for next person in line, but the busy one is a long bench where people just keep scooting. Then once

St. Charles County, MO — St. Peters, O’Fallon, Lake St. Louis, and a councilman from O’Fallon have filed a lawsuit against their OWN CITIZENS.

In November of last year, the citizens of St. Charles Co...unty democratically expressed their anger with the use of red light cameras in their town. Seventy-three percent of those who went to the polls approved a measure to ban red light cameras.

However, the fat cat bureaucrats, apparently afraid of losing the money generated from the rights-violating red light cameras, don’t like that vote. They are now taking action to punish the citizens for trying to undermine their perceived authority.

Absolutely the worse place in Missouri to live. This county is run on the good old boy system and entitlement. All elected persons have a triple standard for residents depending on their agenda.

with people like Tim Lohmar in positions of screwing up people's lives, your city SUCKS! Mr Lohmar, you should be ASHAMED for trying to ruin someone's life because a BREAST was shown BY ACCIDENT. You ...are a prudish waste of human flesh. Please, just do us all a favor and move to some communist country where you would fit in. See More
