St. Patrick’s is one of the most beautiful Cathedrals. I’ve been going at Christmas since I’m a little girl. No matter how many times I visit, walking thru those front doors and seeing the vaulted cei...lings, candles, pews, stain glass, statues and the main alter, it’s awe inspiring. Looking down the steps where archbishops & bishops are interred is something to see. I have showed this to my children as I was shown as a child. We’ve been lucky enough to be there when the grand organ is being played.
When in Manhattan, go see this amazing Cathedral, you won’t be disappointed.

As a practising Catholic, this Cathedral is more than a tourist attraction for me. It's a beautiful building inside and out. It was a privilege to attend Mass there. People who were visiting, were on ...the whole very respectful of God's house. I wish some my fellow Catholics were! Lots of people talking through Mass, in the queue for Holy Communion and leaving in their droves before the final hymn was even finished! The restoration of this beautiful building has been magnificent, it's so bright inside and all of the side altars dedicated to saints, the beautiful stations of the cross and stained glass windows just add to the sense of awe as you walk in. Highly recommended to put on your itinerary. See More

I don’t even know if my words will provide any justice for how I really feel about this beautiful place. I don’t get the chance to visit so having that opportunity yesterday, I had to check it out. I ...am so glad I did. The feeling of peace I felt come over me was amazing. I felt so good!! The church is absolutely beautiful and well kept. Everyone inside that works here made it so amazing. I will definitely be back!! See More

It is everything and more❤️ My husband is Catholic and we went to a service last night. It was the perfect way to complete a trip to New York for his Uncle’s passing. I felt the spirit of our Lord and... the peace and serenity this Cathedral brought to our hearts was incredible. See More

The busiest Catholic Church with excellent chapels and stain glass. There was a multi year renovation just completed. The 1:00 PM mass is really great. Across the street is the Rockefeller Center.

...You can spend a couple of hours there looking at all the details in the church. There are two gift shops. The atmosphere is much brighter with the renovation. See More

A high point of any trip to NYC. So much to see, but you can also go for a quite moment of prayer, or hear the wonderful organ during a Mass or other service.

I felt very at home. It was a Spanish mass and although it wasn’t my language I could really feel comfortable about it. Besides this the songs were gorgeous.

Beautiful church with the taste of history in each step. Service was even better and a complete complement to the city it is part of.

So beautiful. I went there on New Year’s Eve so unfortunately it was crazy crowded, but I would love to go back again.

A blessed Divine Mercy Sunday! Opening Prayer of the Divine Mercy Chaplet by Saint Faustina: You expired, Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls, and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world. O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelop the whole world and empty Yourself out upon us.

This interplay of light and color across the various tiers of elevation gives the cathedral the celestial quality we know and love. #newyork #ny

Prayer to St. Michael, Archangel

Saint Michael Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil; may God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl through the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Saint Paul was a teacher and mentor of Saint Timothy who accompanied Paul on his many missionary journeys. This apprenticeship helped to form Timothy and his ministry. He would eventually become bishop of Ephesus. It is he whom Saint Paul addresses in the First and Second Epistles to Timothy.

Photographed below is a statue of Saint Paul on the cathedral’s pulpit.
