Our Road Patrol Volunteers were honored for their dedication and valuable service to our community by the City's Committee to Advocate for Persons with Impairments (CAPI) at this week’s City Council meeting.

The Road Patrol is mostly made up of retirees who donate their time to the Police Department. In 2014 & 2015 Road Patrol issued 793 parking citations for various types of illegal parking. Part of the money received from fines for illegally parking in marked disabled parking spaces is used to make sure that people with disabilities have access to City facilities, programs and services.
