We were here recently for our 15 year anniversary. It wasn’t our first time here so we expected the usually quality service and food. However, we tried their sushi for the first time on this occasion.... My palate must not be as refined as others because their rainbow roll didn’t taste any different from common chains like Fujiyama or Jewel Osco. I recommend passing on the over-priced sushi. As for the steak, my go-to is usually prime rib cooked medium-rare. Taste wise is was good, but it was a little on the chewy side and tough to cut through. I’ve had prime rib so tender I could cut it with a fork...this time I really had to put elbow grease into it. I already worked to pay for the steak, I shouldn’t have to work to consume it. The best part of the meal was the generous side of mushrooms, that’s about it. They weren’t on their game on this particular occasion, which was disappointing. On previous occasions, their lamb chops were top notch. I recommend them medium-well to well-done to bring out that nice gamey flavor. See More

The service was excellent! I love a restaurant that keeps your water glass full! The sushi was the best I’ve ever had! Very delicious! I had the seafood grill which includes sea bass, lobster, oysters..., shrimp, and crab legs. Everything tasted great! My husband and I had a great valentine’s dinner. We are looking forward to going back just for sushi and drinks. See More

We had the most wonderful anniversary at Stetsons complete with champagne and chocolate cake. Pete, the general manager, was nothing but wonderful and welcoming! Highly recommend!!

I had really high hopes for the main dish after having the crab cakes for an appetizer. They were fantastic! Then our steaks came. I was very disappointed. I ordered a filet, medium. Though the cook l...ooked correct it was very tough and chewy. Extremely chewy. It was probably the worst "steakhouse" filet I've ever had and that includes places that charge half the price. We tried a little bit of everything. The spicy tuna roll was well prepared, with a nice latent heat that kicks in after. We tried the bone in tomahawk pork chop. Perfectly prepared with a jalapeño-avo...cado sauce. The ribeye was prepared correctly to rare-plus and the chimichuri sauce was refreshingly prepared with a course chop instead of blended into a paste. The chocolate cake with salted caramel sauce was too die for. And the bar uses Compano Antica sweet vermouth to make manhattans. Ask for one made with Bulliet eye instead of Woodford Reserve. The customer service was excellent! They staff attended to all of your needs without question and was very speedy! The food was beyond great! The sushi was very up to par and the steaks are very tende...r and it literally melts in your mouth. The bathrooms are very clean as well as the dining area. I would say that this place is spectacular for dinner and drinks and just because. See More

The food is exceptional, filet was cooked perfectly and the lamp chops are to die for! Scallops and Sea Bass were all cooked to perfection and flavored nicely. The chocolate cake for dessert was HUG...E and the Creme Brulee was nicely garnished with a pear slice, both were delicious! What truly makes this restaurant exceptional however is the staff. The GM is genuine and friendly, our waiter was knowledgeable and efficient. I don't know the name of the African-American gentleman who seems to be in charge of the dining room, but man that guy knows his stuff! He's always got a smile on his face, is extremely personable and by far one of the nicest people I encountered during my stay at the Hyatt. 5 star food, great service, just a few of the many reasons we will return!!! New York steak was done to perfection. Hubby ordered the rib eye and he enjoyed it. The sides were generous enough for two people. Our appetizer was huge it could have been a main entree. We order... mussels in garlic sauce. That dish could have fed four. Wait staff very attentive. Definitely will be dining here again. See More

I have ate here a couple of times and it is always on point. The sushi is some of the best in the city and the steaks are even better. I'd the place can make me want to eat cream of corn all day long... then they clearly are doing something right. Their other meat and seafood options don't miss a beat either. See More

Though I no longer live in Chicago and missed the opportunity to dine at Stetson during my last visit in 2013, I will always remember my days of dining at Stetson with one of the best wait staff in th...e world, the one and only, Anthony Richardson. He is and has always been a wonderful friend of mine. Whenever friends ask me where to dine when they are in Chicago, I always have two recommendations, One-Stetsons at the Hyatt on Wacker and Two-Always ask for Anthony Richardson to enjoy their dining experience even more!!!! This past weekend was my husband's and I first time here. Wonderful crab cake appetizer, we even had sushi too. Had the filet and was in heaven and my husband had the rib-eye. The wine was wonderful a...s well. Definitely will be coming back again soon for another date night. See More

Yesterday was our 1st visit. I had the strip steak which was the best strip steak I have ever eaten, my husband had sushi OMG so fresh, very good. Our service was great. Just an overall great eatting ...experience. Happy Birthday to me! See More

Food was absolutely delicious. No questions about this.
However I visited this restaurant in August 2011 (before remodeling) and I expected better service.
Cannot say the service was bad. But 3 years... ago it was a way better experience. Attention, complimentary dishes, selection of different water etc.
This time our party was a bit crowded next to another table, the water guy had a grumpy look which is not very apetizing, no complimentary stuff except for bread. Plus we waited 45 minutes for our meal.
Again; food delicious. Service ok but for a top restaurant it needs a little more ... just a bit.
