Stogumber Festival returns from 7 to 9 September 2018!

We are busy creating a fantastic programme for you with the usual mix of classical, folk and acoustic music with a mix of well established performers and those just starting out in their musical careers. We also have some fantastic workshops lined up!

We look forward to starting to share the line up with you very soon!

If you love all music then the whole weekend will have something for you, but instead of mixing musical genres throughout the weekend, this year the festival will see days with distinct flavours:

Friday 7th: Performances by local children in the Village Square
Festival Reception and opening concert in the Church

Saturday 8th: Folk and Acoustic Music Day

Sunday 9th: Classical Music Day

You may like to put the dates in your diaries now 🎶🎶🎶

Wishing all Mothers, Grandmothers, Aunties and anyone else in that role Happy Mothering Sunday! Here is Gwyneth Herbert with Grandma's Hands from her performance at Stogumber Festival a few years ago

The temperature has risen and the snow is starting to melt at last. Here is our musical theme for the day 🎶🎶🎶

Cara Dillon - The Snows They Melt The Soonest - Live At The Grand Opera House

Well, we have survived the red weather alert and come out the other side, but we are "Snowgumber" today! The community spirit is at its best at this time as people in the village go and check on vulnerable neighbours or, due to being stuck in the village, get together for an impromptu coffee morning or soup/stew lunch with friends and neighbours! No school today, so the happy sounds of sledging can be heard and quite a number of new community members made of snow are spotted around the place ❄️☃️❄️☃️

Greetings from a very snowy Stogumber! Here is something astonishing to look at if, like us, you are snowbound today! Keep warm out there. ...... 🎶🎶

We're extremely proud to announce that we've been nominated for 'Best Group' in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards 2018! The awards will take place in Belfast on the of April, and you're able to get tickets for the event now.

We've had an absolutely incredible year, and now's probably a better time than ever to thank you all for your support. This job wouldn't be quite as much fun without people to play to, so we appreciate each and every one of you! Unless you've never been to one of our gigs or bought our album. Shameful.

We are very sorry to report that Amy Wadge is having to pull out of the tour with Luke Jackson, and the the double headline gig in Stogumber on Friday 2nd February has therefore had to be CANCELLED!

If you bought your tickets on line, we will be contacting you to give a full refund.

Amy Wadge is with Luke Jackson.

I am so sad to say that I am having to withdraw from the tour with Luke Jackson that was due to start this week. While I was away in the US I was taken ill an...d ended up needing treatment in hospital. I am now under strict medical orders to rest for at least a month which sadly means I can’t fulfil my commitments to the tour.

I am so sorry to all of those that have bought tickets - Luke will still be playing at the majority of the shows so please do check all the listings.

I promise I will be back out to do some shows again soon.

Again massive apologies to everyone I hope to see you all again soon xxx
