Overall I would say it was an ok hotel. We stayed from Jan 1- Jan 5 - we actually cut our stay by a day (without a refund) - that’s how unimpressed we were. The hotel itself is just nice - hardly the ...atmosphere that would warrant 5stars. Valet left our car window open and we got ice in the car. Our fireplace pilot light continuously went out. When called to fix it- they would come but told us they were not prepared to replace the pilot mechanism and that was what what actually required. We heard that 3 times. The wait staff in the extremely expensive restaurants were disinterested. There is zero communication between the lodge and the resort. No one at the lodge has any idea about the skiing on the property. We were actually told - that it’s because of the purchase so they don’t have good communication anymore. It took the front desk 4 tries to print out our final bill because they couldn’t use the system. We ordered room service 3 times and 3 times they got it wrong/forgot something. They make a very big deal about turn down service and make sure they know what time you want the beds ready. We told them 6pm. The first night we had to chase down housekeeping to get sheets for the pull out couch. Every other night housekeeping knocked on the door around 8pm (kids already sleeping). There were no perks to staying there. I expected great service, ease of use of the skiing (we still had to wait in lines to buy lift tickets etc), even hot drinks in the lobby- and there was none of that. We are pretty low maintenance and still had a great time but we won’t return. See More

The Hourglass Bar service was slow and the drinks not very well prepared. It took over 5 minutes to be asked if we wanted drink and food menus. Their version of Glögg (Swedish traditional mulled wine)... was over spiced and was sweet enough to make me think that they added sugar to the recipe. The Irish Coffee Hot Toddy was strong enough to leave the glass half full. Drinks at establishments such as Stowe must find a delicate balance in order to command such a premium price. That said, the food was well prepared though. The Crab Rangoon Dip was delightful and the Buffalo Chili was nicely spiced. Getting back to the service, trying to get our check was a challenge, as the bar staff seemed to disappear after we finished our food. We also forgot to ask for the seasons pass discount, so the check was a little higher than expected, but for the price we paid, the service should have been top notch. The other issue we encountered, was leaving the parking lot. We spent over 20 minutes, waiting for staff to perform service on the automated ticket kiosk, in the newly implemented paid parking lot. When charging $10.00 an hour for parking, being able to leave the parking lot should be effortless. We will be back, as we have season passes, but hope the service improves to a suitable level. I like Stowe, and want to see it thrive, but with service and problems like this, it makes other mountains more appealing. See More

After airlines had separated our group during 14 hours of travel... we arrived at different airports and very late at night.
One of us ( young lady ) was stuck in Burlington at 11pm with no phone rece...ption, no plan, and no idea what to do next to find SML.
The big problem was lack of phone reception to contact the group or vice versa.

Billy the Concierge to the rescue !! Within minutes and a few phone calls to his Contacts Billy had organise Plan A, B, and C -

Billy had arranged ( within minutes ) a Driver and Airport Security to meet her at the Gate with her name on a Sign and My name as a password.
The driver then contacted the office which then contacted Billy to confirm that they had found her and were on the way to Stowe... in the middle of the night.
An hour and $95 later our group was reunited... all thanks to Billy - a real Concierge !

Great Resort on the East Coast. I ski all over the Rockies, Tetons, Wasatch ranges and especially all over Vermont. I can tell you this is the closest to a “big mountain” experience you can find in ...Vermont. Mount Mansfield is the highest peak in Vermont and it shows when you ski here. From the beginners area on spruce peak to the front four double diamonds, to the tree skiing and backcountry, there is something for everyone. Make sure to see Nik at the Hourglass bar for Apres ski. Nothing like enjoying a great cocktail or one of the best local Vermont craft beers you earned after making turns all day. See More

Originally we were suppose to go to Mexico with my boyfriend for our Xmas vacation but we changed our plans & ended up here at Stowe Mountain Lodge instead ! I must say coming here was the best experi...ence I've ever had staying at a hotel. The rooms are super clean & the staff, every single one of them, went out of their way to make sure that our stay here was comfortable ! Jorge, the manager of this hotel, was very courteous from day 1 & he even sent up a bottle of champagne to our room welcoming us to this beautiful winter paradise ! I've never experienced going to a ski lodge first hand & now that I have I will definitely be coming back next year with my family and my dog ! Another great thing I loved was seeing guests with their pets everywhere here at the hotel ! They are SUPER pet friendly treating the animals just as special ! The restaurants were excellent as well but the one thing I completely loved & never did before was use the heated outdoor pool & jacuzzi in 20° degree weather ! Sitting in a very hot jacuzzi while it was snowing was amazing ! My stay here was unforgetable & I can't wait to come back ! Thank you so much for this incredible experience !!! See More

Stowe Mountain Lodge one of my favorite places to go throughout the year. My family and I come here often to escape from Burlington; whether it’s for a conference, spa weekend, or just a night away. ... Couldn't have asked for a better experience. The room (Ridgeline) was spacious, inviting, and very comfortable, the spa services were top notch, facilities all around were clean/well maintained, and a...bove all the staff was beyond friendly/accommodating--from the front desk to shop staff, to spa staff, to the bellhops/valet folks. We had a great vacation at Stowe from December 1 to December 4, 2017. The Stowe lodge provides 5 star service and holds the highest level of service everywhere. Can't says enough how comfortable it is... Ski valet and location to slopes. A hot tub and swimming pool outside was very enjoyable after ski days. Thanks a lot to all employees. Our family had a great experience at Stowe Mountain Lodge. The staff were very friendly and the accommodation was perfect. We loved that everything was on site! You walked out of the lobby, picked ...up your skis at the valet and you were steps away from the lifts to go skiing. We will definitely be back! See More

This place is absolutely amazing. I've visited Stowe many times. However, I knew this place was something special upon driving up the mountain and pulling up to Stowe Mountain Lodge. First rate dest...ination in the mountains with spectacular views. The lodge is exactly what you'd want, with rooms and common spaces that reflect nature's beauty. The heated, outdoor pool offers you the opportunity to take a swim right next to a mountain peak. On-site dining is phenomenal. The only thing I wanted but couldn't get was a vacation extension to stay here longer! See More

We came in this afternoon me & my boyfriend Jimmy we are having a nice time the lodge is awesome. We will be here for Valentine's Day thats my Valentine's Day Gift from my Boyfriend Jimmy. Everybody i...s so nice. It's great when there are Wonderful People around you. They even sent up a Bottle of Champagne for us. It's such a Gorgeous lodge. Love the rooms gorgeous. We will be here until 20 of February cannot wait until we get on the slopes tomorrow. We even have a jacuzzi. Oh it is so gorgeous. Thank you everybody we are going to have a Fabulous time here. Beautiful resort. We are staying in a studio, which worried me at booking; however, it is very spacious and well-equiped. Our days have been jam packed, but our nights have been totally relaxed- chi...lling at the pool. You really don't need to leave the resort. We were only planning to stay for a couple of days, but have extended our stay. Who wants to get back to reality when it's so idyllic here :) See More

Where do I begin? I'll make this shortand sweet... I'm giving one star because of how a situation has been handled. My wife decided to book us a shorty getaway at the lodge, we payed for our Room in ...full before our stay. The day we were supposed to check in her card was charged an extra $300 as if we hadn't paid our reservation in full. They quickly fixed it and apologized... ok that was fine took weeks to get money back. We checked in and everything seemed to be going smoothly, we were greeted with smiles and the place was nice and clean.
We checked in and started our stay.. here's where it gets weird, we drank by the pool and ate lunch at the restaurant and charged both of those bills to the room expecting to pay at the end. The rest of the trip seemed to go smoothly until we check our bank and come to find the card was charged every time we charged anything to the room. When we went to check out, the same money that had already been taken out according to our bank which said "charges pending" was also charged again at checkout.. Basically we were charged double in plain English. We addressed it to the front desk who said "everything should be fine, if not we will refund the money"
We have tried 3-4 times to get a hold of someone reguarding our issue. Nobody has called us back nor was it corrected...after many attempts to contact them I decided to share are experience. We had an amazing time but very disappointed that it wasn't handled correctly with the amount of money we spent to stay and enjoy the hotel.
