I have 40 raised beds and grow 100 plus container plants each year and trust Suburban's compost to fill and top them off each year. There are cheaper companies in KC, but none have the quality compos...t that Suburban has. You get what you pay for in this world...Suburban's compost is worth every penny! Excellent customer service as well! See More

We are longtime customers of Suburban Lawn and Garden. We have bought and had them plant numerous shrubs and trees. This past week we bought more trees. Wanting to add some mass to our yard, we stopp...ed at the "rock yard." The two gentlemen working the yard were great. Helpful and with a great attitude. On the other hand the yard boss was a jerk. Cranky, unpleasant and too busy to help us. This has completely soured us on Suburban. See More

Thank you Sandy and Sue at 135th store! You ladies helped me so much! I picked out beautiful plants for the terrarium! And they were even on sale! I drove from Gladstone and I will definitely be back the Spring! See More

I'll be completely honest -- we've purchased several nice trees, bushes and plants from Suburban's various locations throughout KC. We've always been happy with their stock and were particularly happ...y to see the new location expanding in Lenexa, just off K-7 and not too far from our home. But where they've really impressed me is in their desire to go above and beyond to ensure happy, satisfied customers. Recently, I encountered some issues with coloration of mulch, and an owner from Suburban not only immediately reached out, he offered to assist as best as possible and went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. In this day and age, true customer service is difficult to find and I'm truly impressed by Suburban's willingness to make things right. Thank you and keep up the great work! (PS. Check out the expansion at their K-7 location if you live out that way -- it's going to give the Roe location a run for it's money once it's fully stocked). See More

Had a great time with the kids at the Suburban pumpkin patch! Lots of fun with hayrides, face painting and a dancing with making animal balloons!

Cactus was waaaaaay over priced. Do your research folks and don't pay quadruple for your plants.

Fantastic selection and I was REALLY impressed with the varieties of native plants available. But what blew me away the most was the customer service. The communication, assistance, and follow up were... amazing. I will go back many times. Thanks, guys! See More

So many plants and varieties that allows me to come up with an over abundance of ideas. Plus, if you can't design your own planters, they have a very knowledgeable staff to help. I and my family have ...purchased several trees and shrubs of outstanding for years. I highly recommend Suburban year round. In the winter, they have wonderful tropical and succulent plants. See More

Needed more bulbs for my bulb garden. Went into the store in Martin City yesterday around 2:30. Hardly anyone there, I was buying all kinza bulbs. Met three hellarious ladies that worked there, we ...had a blast, just yappin and picking bulbs. They all helped me find the better deals on the bulbs, bulk packs versus the smaller packs. They didn't know my back was killing me, but somehow I wasn't feeling the pain we were all just laughing. Hopefully next week the temps will thaw out the ground enough to plant them there bulbs. They had the organic herbs that I was looking for, but the three small annuals died a few days later, and there are no refunds. Better off going to the big box store where the plants have a 1 year war...ranty. Very disappointed. See More
