At night we heard lots of animal noises and even walking to breakfast was a mini safari with flying foxes and Pablo, the resident Macaque monkey who was caught red handed as he stole our breakfast!
During our stay we were lucky enough to be able to spot the 'Big Five': Orangutan,

We are deeply saddened for the loss of our Conservation Fellow, HRH Prince Henrik of Denmark who passed away just recently. Our deepest condolence goes out to his family.
Prince Henrik visited Kinabatangan in 2002, and we had the honor and pleasure of having him stay at the lodge. The Prince Consort also participated in our reforestation program, Kinabatangan Wildlife Corridor Regeneration Program (KWICORP), and his contribution earned him a place on our Wall of Conservation Fellows.
We're excited to have our very own Conservation Fellow Dr. Wong Siew Te staying here at the lodge. Tomorrow night (7th February 2018), he will be giving a talk about "The Illegal Trade of Sun Bears in Malaysia". Guests will be able to listen to this talk by the man himself at the lodge after dinner (8PM). See you there! Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre Sabah Forestry Department Sabah Wildlife Department
