If we do not elect legislators who support conservative values, it only takes one bill to rip our freedom away in an instant. As anti-family groups wage an all-...out attack on our liberty in 2018, get involved with your local task force at the free Operation Mobilize Homeschoolers event that THSC is hosting near you in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio or Lubbock!
Help Anita bring her baby girl home. CPS medically kidnapped her daughter.
It's still happening to other parents in Texas. CPS is taking away children from fit parents and falsifying medical reports to cover their tracks.
A summary of the case...an update on the family...and the battle for parental rights in the Texas Legislature as a direct result of the Tutt family's battle with CPS.

05/18 UPDATE: THSC and several legislative office are in discussions with the Higher Education Coordinating Board (The agency which writes the dual credit rules...) to clarify ambiguity about how the bill will affect students. The HECB is reevaluating their analysis of the bill and will be providing new information shortly. We will provide updates as soon as we can verify the impact of this new information and how home school students would be affected. Please see the original call to action below for additional context:
Urgent Legislative Update: Calls Needed. THSC needs you to call the members of the House Higher Education Committee to voice your opposition to SB 1091. This bill would eliminate all dual credit class except for core curriculum, career techincal courses, and foreign language courses. Home schoolers heavily utilize dual credit and this bill would severely limit the options for the dual credit courses that home schoolers could take.
The bill is to be heard in a public hearing tomorrow, May 17th, 2017, at 9:30 AM in the House Higher Education Committee.

Hi, my name is (insert name) and I live in the (insert city/town) area. I’m calling to register my opposition to SB 1091. My family home schools and many home schoolers use dual credit courses outside of a university’s core curriculum. This bill would eliminate nearly all dual credit courses outside of the core curriculum. (If possible, offer a specific example of how this bill would affect your students, e.g.,their curriculum, family finances, or preparation for future studies.) Please pass my opposition along to the Representative. Thank you!
Each of these Representatives are a critical vote on this committee and they rely heavily on constituent opinion.

Love is a beautiful thing!
So the couple who adopted the kids, were actually foster parents to the kids. The family is HUGE...fifteen in all...but mom and dad just couldn't bear the thoug...ht of siblings having to be broken apart, and truth be told, it sounds like their church family finds little ways to help too. -Alex
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK, THSC! Families need this!
Yesterday THSC President Tim Lambert testified in favor of The Family Unity Act, HB 1899. This legislation would put a stop to courts overruling fit parents. We... believe parents know what's best for their kids. Representatives Mike Schofield and Briscoe Cain also supported TX families as they defended parental rights against the arguments of an attorney from the Texas Family Law Foundation who was testifying against the bill. THSC will continue to work on the Family Unity Act in our ongoing efforts to #KeepTXFamiliesFree. #TXLege #THSCKnowsTX
Changes need to be made. Thank you THSC for your hard work on behalf of Texas families!
On Wednesday, April 12th, 2017, Jeremy Newman testified in favor of Senator Lois Kolkhorst's Case Consolidation bill. If this bill passed, SB 738 would require ...all cases regarding the same children and same CPS incident to be heard by the same judge/court. Currently, if a CPS case involves more than 1 child a parent can sometimes find themselves fighting the same case in multiple courts. This is just part of THSC's CPS legislation furthering the goal to #KeepTXFamiliesFree. #THSCKnowsTX #TXlege
Please pray for the entire Tutt family, including K--the little girl they fought for over 3 years for. We don't want this to happen to other families. Please support THSC in their efforts to change the policies and laws that are so damaging to families in Texas.

Important legislative reforms are coming this session. Educate yourself and spread the word!
If you are a homeschooler in Texas, I highly recommend you get a THSC membership. They have an attorney who handles all CPS calls related to homeschooling for THSC members. You can even get coverage with a monthly payment of $10 if you cannot afford to pay for a whole year up front.
Texas Home School Coalition (THSC) was contacted by an Odessa home school parent who had been told by a CPS caseworker that she and her husband must stop home s...chooling and enroll their child in public school. The child’s father began gathering his daughter’s personal records, while Mom placed a call to us.
