Swing Mission added 44 new photos from February 10 to the album: Making a Difference — with Gabriel David Swing at Long Island, The Bahamas.
February 10

Last week Jan & I hosted a great group of folks on Long Island, The Bahamas. They accomplished so much- 2 roofs for needy families, 13 windows installed at the Simms Brethren Church, Oasis repairs, Ice Cream Party, and a youth Bible study at the Oasis. (no wonder I'm tired this week) Great job everyone! Remember Proverbs 11:25 "whoever refreshes others will be refreshed." Thanks for serving!

It was a miracle that no one lost their life in the fire. A 30 mph wind quickly spread the blaze through out the neighborhood. Early estimates say that between 60- 100 homes were destroyed displacing well over 200 people.

Our family's Christmas wishes to all.

From our family to yours, we wish you a very merry Christmas full of peace, wonder and love. We wanted to share this photo from yesterday, at the very first worship service for The Kirk of the Pines. Gabe has been pastoring this church plant in Marsh Harbour, Abaco for two and half years and they ar...

I love this photo of Jan and her high school girls! She hosts a fun filled devotion for them each week during lunch time and then after school craft times a few times each semester!

Awesome week with an awesome team, helping kids SEE the light of the love of Jesus in more ways than one!

Bahamas Eye Mission Trip added 10 new photos.

Amazing day! We saw over 300 kids and teachers today. Exhausting but totally grateful that we were able to help so many with their vision.

Take some time to check out, or share the beginning of this message series with a friend. This series is getting into answering some of the tough questions of the faith. I hope it is helpful!

Visit the post for more.

If you are in Abaco- Definitely come on out to join us for this special event! Can't wait to see you there. Thanks, Gabe

This donor was then instructed to "wire funds directly" to a personal bank account. The email was sent from a distorted variation of my personal email address. My corr...

Great KICK OFF for Club on Long Island last night! Josh began a message series based on John Ortberg's book, The Me I Want to Be. Steph Curry was his example of a person living their life with purpose. Awesome night.

Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers! We certainly feel very blessed and fortunate, especially after seeing the scale and magnitude of Hurricane Irma. All of the islands where The Caribbean Youth Network is currently working, were spared from direct impact of the eye wall of the storm. Th...

Good Afternoon Everyone!

We cannot thank you enough for the many prayers! We are so grateful!

Here's the latest report:

Long Island- Josh faired well, and the island was spared a direct hit. They will be in recovery mode for several days with some power, cell and internet outages. I still have yet to hear a report on the Oasis building and from some of the families we have ministered to over the years. I'll share more as I learn more.

Nassau: was also spared a direct hit. Some wind, but nothing like they experienced last year with Hurricane Matthew. We are grateful!

Abaco: Hurricane Irma is still south of us and projected to turn north. THANKFULLY- the forecast is for it to be west of our location. Currently, we have some 25-35 mph winds and rain coming from the outer bans, the peak for us should be Sunday morning/afternoon. If it doesn't change course we should only have tropical storm conditions! Which is a blessing. We may loose power, cell and internet but I will be in touch as soon as we are back online.

Please keep the other islands that experienced a direct hit and the people of Cuba who are still feeling the effects. Though reports are still sketchy, many of the far southern Bahamian islands (Inagua, Acklin, Mayaguana and Ragged Islands may have been totally washed out!) The Government did evacuate most of the residents before the storm, but they may not have anything to return to.

Thank you so very much for your prayers!
