We bought tickets to see the comedian Al Jackson and he was great! Worth the money. The service wasn’t great. First they have this rule that you have to give them your card to put on hold when you According to the waitress she stated that many people bail out on their bill and that’s why they asked for it. I think this method is tacky and they need to find other resources to fix their problem with people bailing out of their bill. I don’t like the rule and instead of implementing this on your customers you should train your waitress to close the bill before the show is about to end. Also we didn’t get our food until almost the end of the show. So if you come please don’t come hungry. The drinks are horrible. They are watered down and it don’t taste like they put alcohol in it at all. Overall I enjoyed the show but not the service I received from The Comedy Bar maybe they need new management. See More

We went to a show tonight and the comedy was great! We laughed the whole time! Everyone was very nice and welcoming. The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 was because we waited 20 minutes before a ...server even came to our table to ask what we wanted to drink, and we got there early so it wasn't like it was crazy busy. Not sure if that was just tonight or if it's always like that, but regardless, we would return anyways because the show was awesome. See More

Really wish the venue would be more proactive about removing rowdy audience members! Comedians were all great. Affordable, great beer during the show. But it was hard to enjoy the show with all of the... chatter and heckling coming from two different tables that no one from the venue made any effort to stop. See More

Lots of fun in downtown Chicago. Where else can you get (Gino's East) amazing pizza, a great beer and some good laughs?? Attended the Tuesday night show where you get to see 10 up and coming comedians... and help decide who wins the cash prize by throwing tomatoes at bad jokes. Lots of fun! See More

Even tho a friend and I showed up late to the show they had us sat right away with no problems and began taking orders as soon as we sat. The view and acoustics are great so it doesn't seem like there...'s ever anywhere you'd be straining to hear or see the show. Overall the comedians had my friends and I crying. Great spot, it's a must when in town See More

My husband and I went to last nights show (6/9/17). We saw Rion Evans. He was a Riot. It was a shame that there was a rude person in the crowd who kinda ruined the whole night. It was funny the way ...Rion handled it ("Shut the fuck up Pam!"). That will forever be a line used in our house. Ha! The other comics were good too...again, I think the heckler threw them off a bit. It was very nice that we were offered to stay for the next show since the show was interrupted by the heckler. Staff was very attentive. We will come back for sure! See More

Never been here before. Just visiting Chicago for a week. The wife and I went along and got front seats right by the stage. Early Hosts had good banter and got the laughs started. Wait staff were alw...ays helpful and frequently checking our needs. Comedians varied but then it's always down to taste. The later acts have to spin a wheel to see what they can do which made it interesting lol we had a good time and recommend anyone else visits See More

We spent $100 at the restaurant for dinner then were sent to another area where we had to sit by an open door which smelled like sewer not one person waited on us. We spent $30 for tickets to the come...dy show....30 for drinks that we had to go get from the bar(wait in line) there was no comedy show...what the fuck????? We finally left the establishment we could not take it anymore. See More

Great atmosphere and we really enjoyed it, however, I wish we had not ordered any food. It took about an hour and 15 minutes for us to get an order of nachos and they were not good at all. We would de...finitely go back though, we would just stick to the drinks! See More

I have seen multiple hilarious shows here and the staff is really friendly/caters to you. It's cool that you can eat full service in the shows and they are constantly bringing in new talent.

Nice place , great waiters/waitresses but I wish I would have said something when one of the comedians talked about Trump being assassinated , I am a registered democrat but is anything ever funny or ...appropriate about anyone being killed ... like jokes about lynching neither are remotely funny ... cruel , unkind , hate infused but never funny ... it was NOT the headliner Heath just so all are clear .. today my only regret was not boooing in anger last night ... if you have to spew hate to 'be funny ', you are not working hard enough on your craft ....
