In our 3rd edition of the joint study report with IIM Calcutta, we found out that $6.6 Bn is wasted annually due to transport delays. The ambitious Bharatmala project aims to solve this problem by constructing 7000 km of highways at a rate of 30 km/day to link far flung areas of the country in order to boost exports and movement of cargo by increasing vehicle travelling speed by 20-25%. At TCI Foundation, we believe that providing education and training children, especially from far flung corners of the country with lesser privileged backgrounds, will help in #NurturingIndia for a better future. By introducing the highly vocational Transport Systems and Management course at the plus two level in various CBSE-affiliated schools, we aim to train and eventually absorb children into the workforce.

Today, we feel proud to share our positive Q3 results for FY 2017-18. Our MD, Mr. Vineet Agarwal, attributed the steady growth achieved to our continuous focus on value growth verticals like retail, auto, pharma, etc. via large-scale warehousing, multi-modal rail and coastal solutions, and remains confident that GST, infra-status and e-way bill implementation would move the logistics industry towards the formal economy. We sincerely thank all our stakeholders and customers for contributing towards our mission of #MovingIndia together.

#DidYouKnow
This high national logistics spend can be attributed to key drivers of growth, such as infrastructure investment associated with ports, airports, and other logistics development plans, domestic demand growth and increasing trade.

One of the aspects of #GreenLogistics is to control freight transport carbon emissions and turn it eco-friendly. Since 1951, the share of rail freight transport has decreased drastically by almost 66%. Since rail freight emissions are 5 times lesser than road emissions, we need to switch to intermodal transport, with roads providing only the last-mile delivery. With TCI Concor, we have already taken steps to be the leader in rail cargo management, and excel in last-mile delivery by road.
