Very good and passionate speakers. Altough I miss the beginnings of TedX (really powerful speakers, well kown people (at least one is needed) that have smth to say, i.e. Oana Pellea, Nick Halik, Magnu...s Scheving...). I really hope to see more and more people coming and of various ages. See More

I really don't think musical performances should be any part of this.
Really feels like you didn't have speakers.
...
And that is a real shame, TEDx is a dream come true for maybe thousands of other Romanians like myself who actually have something to say that could change the world we live in.

Best event of the year! The only regret you may have at the end of it that it lasts only one day and you have to wait for the next one. Truly fascinating! Keep rocking!

Good job TedX Bucharest. However, I hope that for next year you will work with more competent technical team. The constant mic problems during this event really did damage the performances of the spea...kers, artists and the presenters. See More

Some takeaways:
Keep going,
Ask for help,
When some tells you that you can't do something prove them wrong,
& Intergalactic space travel will happen soon, if Ana Bercaru has anything to do with it.

In 2013 we were honored to have Mr. Grigore Leşe as a speaker and performer on our stage. Those of you who were in the room may still remember or feel the goose bumps on our skin during and after his performance.

Today is his birthday and we wish him long and healthy days ahead doing what he love most! Happy birthday, Mr. Lese!

There are some people who, by their thoughts, beliefs and actions can define a year, or a period in time. There are thought leaders and personalities. And then there are people who define an age, spreading their ideas, warmth and intelligence throughout several decades.

Sadly, yesterday, historian and philosopher Neagu Djuvara passed away, aged 101. We remain in awe of his contribution to our society and sad for his departure. May he rest in peace.

Trupul neînsufleţit al istoricului şi scriitorului Neagu Djuvara va fi depus vineri şi sâmbătă la Catedrala greco-catolică „Sfântul Vasile cel Mare” din Bucureşti din str. Polonă nr. 50.

In 2010, Andrei Rosu was inspiring us on TEDxBucharest stage through his unique story. He was the first Romanian who run the North Pole Marathon, only one year after deciding to dramatically change his life from a sedentary corporate lifestyle.

He was back then determined to further test his limits and now we are delighted and proud to announce that he was part of the first Romanian team that got across the Atlantic Ocean in a rowboat!
On 22nd of January they finished the T...alisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, the most difficult rowing competition in the world, after sailing a total of 4887 kilometers in 38 days, 14 hours and 32 minutes.

Can you believe a week has already passed since UNCOMMON SENSE?

Here are some highlights of this year's grand event, courtesy of Revista CARIERE:

Există oameni care fac lucruri ce ni se pare atipice la prima vedere. Însă dacă stăm să le ascultăm poveştile cu atenţie, atunci ne vom da seama că aceste experienţe "altfel" darâmă barierele şi ideile preconcepute, astfel că dau naştere unor idei ce pot schimba lumea în bine.

On November 22nd, Stefan Tanase took the stage at TEDxBucharest - UNCOMMON SENSE to say that it's time to ponder seriously on the implications of mass-surveillance and censorship. We, the people, have to decide what kind of internet we want our kids to use.

Dive deeper into the transformation of internet security in this exclusive article in ZDNet.

Instead of opposing the internet barriers raised by the world's authoritarian regimes, Silicon Valley is playing along.

12 speeches, 2 entertaining performances that left us speechless, several inspiring conversations with like-minded people. This sums up in very fie words the UNCOMMON SENSE event!

We got inspired to challenge the status quo and understood that in order to change the world for the better it takes courage! The courage to question what is commonly accepted and embraces the risk of being a pioneer. The courage to see more, to do more, to imagine more, to overcome the challenges a...nd build a better tomorrow!

Thank you all for being part of the experience and already look forward to our next event!
