Excellent theme, excellent speakers, excellent sound, excellent seats, excellent food. Im super happy that ive had the chance to be there in that event room.Well done team T...EDx Bucharest!
Really feels like you didn't have speakers.
And that is a real shame, TEDx is a dream come true for maybe thousands of other Romanians like myself who actually have something to say that could change the world we live in.
Ask for help,
When some tells you that you can't do something prove them wrong,
M-am bucurat de ele atât de pe scenă, cât și din public!
In 2013 we were honored to have Mr. Grigore Leşe as a speaker and performer on our stage. Those of you who were in the room may still remember or feel the goose bumps on our skin during and after his performance.
There are some people who, by their thoughts, beliefs and actions can define a year, or a period in time. There are thought leaders and personalities. And then there are people who define an age, spreading their ideas, warmth and intelligence throughout several decades.
Sadly, yesterday, historian and philosopher Neagu Djuvara passed away, aged 101. We remain in awe of his contribution to our society and sad for his departure. May he rest in peace.
In 2010, Andrei Rosu was inspiring us on TEDxBucharest stage through his unique story. He was the first Romanian who run the North Pole Marathon, only one year after deciding to dramatically change his life from a sedentary corporate lifestyle.
He was back then determined to further test his limits and now we are delighted and proud to announce that he was part of the first Romanian team that got across the Atlantic Ocean in a rowboat!
On 22nd of January they finished the T...alisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, the most difficult rowing competition in the world, after sailing a total of 4887 kilometers in 38 days, 14 hours and 32 minutes.
Congratulations, Andrei Rosu, Vasile Osean, Ionut Olteanu and Marius Alexe!
We are proud of you!
Dr. Adrian Lobontiu, one of our speakers on our stage in 2012 and a pioneer in the field of robotic and minimum invasion surgery just received the award for "Romani de pretutindeni" at the Cariere Gala.

On November 22nd, Stefan Tanase took the stage at TEDxBucharest - UNCOMMON SENSE to say that it's time to ponder seriously on the implications of mass-surveillance and censorship. We, the people, have to decide what kind of internet we want our kids to use.

How about you? How was this edition of TEDxBucharest for you?
12 speeches, 2 entertaining performances that left us speechless, several inspiring conversations with like-minded people. This sums up in very fie words the UNCOMMON SENSE event!
We got inspired to challenge the status quo and understood that in order to change the world for the better it takes courage! The courage to question what is commonly accepted and embraces the risk of being a pioneer. The courage to see more, to do more, to imagine more, to overcome the challenges a...nd build a better tomorrow!
Thank you all for being part of the experience and already look forward to our next event!
