I rarely write reviews and I am not hard to please. The pros for this course were that it was 72 and sunny and I was with 3 other players from our state, Wisconsin, who are fun guys and we can have fu...n on any course so it was a good time. The clubhouse was also nice and we had a nice lunch with a good server. The cons for this course is everything else. One of my friends booked online for a price around $150. When we got there the club house staff asked us where we were from and being out of state (apparently LA residents are charged much less) he wanted to charge us $197. After a little back and forth about the online advertised price they did change it even though we weren't going to make a big deal about it. We were just excited to play a TPC PGA tour course. As a previous review stated, there was a race car track adjacent to the property that was very loud and cars were constantly running all day which sounded like an Indy car race, very loud and annoying but whatever, we can deal with it because we are easy going. The course was a huge dussapointment, almost every hole was just straight, flat and uninteresting, although Pete Dye does add some level of interesting design in his usual Pete Dye way. The biggest dissapointment, however was the course condition. We were actually kind of laughing at how bad the condition was, from the weeds, bad landscaping, sand trap condition, and damaged areas all over the place including around the greens, we were astonished that this was a TPC course and that there was going to be a PGA tour event played here in roughly a month. We kept saying to ourselves how is this place going to be ready. There are dozens of 50 to 100 dollar courses in our area of Wisconsin in better shape. The 200 ea that they wanted to charge us for a near twilight 1:40 Sunday pm t-time was a joke and I would be embarrassed charging it. You expect a level of service and great condition when you pay these prices, not a driving range with no tees that ran out of balls when we were hitting, non gps golf gas carts like a bad city muni course would have on hand, and a course with average speed greens greens and in horrible shape for the price and the TPC label. The course was great and challenging, the cost was well worth playing it. Being from Texas, and an area that has many great courses, the course did not disappoint.
The greeters were great, prepping o...ur carts for some range time. That's where the hospitality stopped. We were on a working trip, so we decided to sit in the restaurant to send some emails prior to loosening up. We sat down, were approached by a waitress, when we kindly told her we were just taking a seat to work for a few minutes. She then rudely told another waitress not to bother with us cause we were just there taking up valuable space. There were TWO people in there eating, and we were taking up valuable space.
Disappointing not to see any Marshalls out there, the group behind us rushed us, even though there was a group in front of us. We played less than a 4 hour round, with most of the front 9 cp only. But they felt they needed to play speed golf.
But after a decent round, we hit the final disappointment to find out the pro shop closed at 5:30 so we could not buy course merchandise. Would have been nice to have known that prior. Would love to play it again on one of our many planned trips back to NOLA, just hope we have a better experience.

Great challenging course with friendly staff. The day I played it was cart path only due to rain and the TPC starting their prep for the Zurich Classic. Even with all the rain that had come down the n...ight before the course was in great shape. Always check on line (Golf Now, Tee Times, etc.) for the best price. See More

Was fortunate to play in a charity scramble at TPC Louisiana. Course was in very good condition, the greens rolled true and fair. Clubhouse, pro shop and restaurant are excellent. My only complaint... was that several bunkers weren’t raked and many had standing water in them. Overall very good course. I’d pay to come back. See More

Staff was on point to accommodate a screw up on their point for our cancelled tee time that was made via Gofnow

The course was in sub par shape. Crab grass and bad fairway lies....

Maintenance everywhere with machines, they were even in fairway bunkers working during play.

Greens great, fairways good, sandtraps would be good if sand was more than a quarter inch deep. Hard pack describes it better. Staff great. Played on a Tuesday so maintainance was happening all around... us but they stopped and moved whenever we were about to play. A little pricey but all around a great time. We will be back. See More

Great course and good people. A gem in New Orleans that can really mess with your mind. Always fun.

Excellent condition, very courteous staff...BLT and onion rings were excellent in the restaurant. If I had one complaint it would be having to leave the fairway 120 yards out with the carts. Slows p...lay significantly. I may see that in the months leading up to the Zurich but not one week before they punch the greens. I will be back here. See More

Nice layout and pretty good conditions considering it was 20 degrees earlier in the week. My 2nd time playing it and enjoyed it again!

Although I am a fan of this course, I was disappointed the last time I played on May 29th 2017. First of all breakfast was awful especially the service and the mold I found on my fruit. Then I was tol...d my credit card didn't work even though I had used it 15 minutes earlier...The lady at the pro shop made no effort to run it manually or do anything to speed up the process...And made me look like an idiot...I missed out on my warm up time and started my game stressed out. After the round I had lunch at ACME in New Orleans and my card worked fine. I called AMEX and they did not even see an attempt for a charge at TPC proving that their system had a problem not my card. As far as the golf course...nice layout with almost perfect greens but the rest needs to be manicured...I can't believe they just had a PGA tournament there. I even saw a bunch of empty water bottles on the ground between the #1 and #9 holes....why so much trash? The tournament was held like a month before. All in all I am expecting better conditions at 230$ a round See More

From the rude gentleman in the Pro Shop (who tried to charge us $50 over the rate we booked at) to the poor condition of the course, don't waste your money. I've played 5 other TPC courses that were p...erfect. I played this one because of the TPC name and the fact that it is 2 weeks before the Zurich Classic. What a waste. Overpriced, poor condition, and nonexistent staffing. On top of that, you have to listen to a go cart track almost the entire round. Literally play anywhere else in New Orleans. Anywhere. How this course has maintained its TPC status is beyond me. See More

I was very impressed with the conditions seeing how the Zurich was just played there...beautiful course, challenging layout, and super fast greens made this an awesome experience. I still think it's a... little overpriced considering the other great golf options there are close to NOLA but still had fun. See More

A true (as it could be otherwise) Pete Dye designed course. Due to the amount of recent rains it was cart path only. I got all my 10,000 steps in plus. I found just about every bunker on the course. ...All in all, it's a fun course to play I just need to place better shots next time and there will be a next time. Add it to you list to play. See More

PGA layout, so not much more to say. Due to overseeding and grounds crews everywhere, not in its finest shape. The staff was AWESOME and contributed to a GREAT day. (A better score would have been nic...e.... My numbers looked like I played 21 holes.) See More

This was my second time playing this course and the first time was in March of 2014. That round cost me $250.00 for one round. I swore I'd never go back there because that price is way too expensive a...nd the course had some "problem areas" and slow greens. Fast forward to yesterday and I played it again because I was with a group that had planned to play there and this time it was $142.00 for the round. While the course was in better shape this time, it's still way to expensive for this course and the greens were still slow.

I have no problem paying high rates for courses that are worth it. i.e. Troon North in Scottsdale, AZ or Wolf Creek in Mesquite, NV. However, this course doesn't even come close to those courses in so many ways. My personal opinion is $75.00 would be a fair rate for this course. I have no issues with staff or aminities at TPC but the course just doesn't measure up to the playing rates. If a course is going to charge top dollar, the course needs to be immaculate and I shouldn't leave feeling like it was a waste of my money like the two times I've played it. It's honestly the only course I've ever played that I've left with that feeling and I've played A LOT of courses. If you can get it at a cheaper rate or play in an outing there then by all means it's worth your time, just don't pay top dollar for it out of your own pocket.

What a Fantastic course. Keep it in in the Fairway, which by the way feels like carpet. Why? The first cut is a thief, say good bye to your ball unless you have a great caddy or Golf buddies with eyes... like the man of steel himself the first cut will absorb your ball. ROTF! I had a wonderful round on a championship course!!!!! See More
