God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can; ...
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
enjoying one moment at a time;
accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
that I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
forever in the next.
Tests and trials come but we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us.
Identify what takes us off the path of our recovery.
Create healthy habits for continued success in our recovery.
Remember we are not alone and our forever family is rooting for us....
Keep Christ at the center of our recovery.
1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you that is unusual for human beings. But God is faithful, and he will not allow you to be tempted beyond your strength. Instead, along with the temptation he will also provide a way out, so that you may be able to endure it.
In Celebrate Recovery, we refer to all of us as members of a 'forever family'. I really like that, because many us had families of origin that were not healthy or safe.
In Celebrate Recovery, we all can find a safe and loving family. Why? Because the Head, the Father of our 'forever family is The Lord Almighty!...
Below see some Bible verses that tell us how a godly family functions! Thoughts? Comments?
